Also the next race or fun day at Milestone will be much different trust me !!! Bill hotshoe317 12-18-2007, 09:16 PM what would anyone be willing to pay for a TI axle if i was to get stock? i can get hollow or bar stock lmk Brad jbrooks39 12-18-2007, 09:50 PM Touch base with Fred Murry. I have two axles that I purchased through Fred. I don't think bar stock will work as it comes stock. I think it needs to be taken down a couple of tenths (.0001-.0005 at worst case). I don't think it matters whether its solid bar stock or tube stock. Titanium is INSANELY expensive in the raw stock form. I checked on prices through our procurement department and an 18" piece would have been well over $75 cost. All that said, I think Fred was charging $60 for his pieces, if I remember right. I would not run anything but. I use them on the front and the rear. I have yet to bend one and my car has been thru some major crashes. :woohoo: Fred Murry FMurry8995 12-18-2007, 09:56 PM Brad: They are expensive but well worth the money.Fred hotshoe317 12-18-2007, 10:34 PM look forward to seeing them jeffdavis38 12-18-2007, 11:18 PM Brad: I have been running and suppling titanium axles for a few years now. FMurry8995 12-24-2007, 11:45 PM Fred do you make them for the GN cars? Jeff: I have made somefor GN. I may have some in the shop. What length do you want? Fred mike watkins 12-25-2007, 12:02 AM Fred, How much for a front and rear axle for a WCM ? What kind of ends do you run on the front axle? Mike FMurry8995 12-25-2007, 02:05 AM Fred, How much for a front and rear axle for a WCM ? What kind of ends do you run on the front axle? Mike Mike: I will get a fresh quote on titanium on Wed as the prices go up and down. Mostly up. Last rear axles I sold were $65.. for an 18 inch wide axle, solid NOT tube. Front axle is 12 inch wide and I use a modified Hughes clamp on the end instead of the taperd ones from WCM. These will accept the stock WCM spindles new or old style. I also use clamps to hold the servo mount and slider. NO holes in the axle to weaken it. If you want photos email me at FMurry8995@aol.com and I will send some your way.
