Race number 4 of the BSR Racing Tires Brushless Oval Tour would see 63 drivers make the trip to Allen’s R/C Raceway in Rodchester, IL for some fast and furious short track action.
The cold weather and 7" of fresh snow didn’t seem bother anyone as all had a good time.

The 17.5 class was the largest of the weekend and provided some close racing action. Hometown racer and weekend TQ Kevin Klyber set the pace early before losing the lead to a hard charging Chad Humble. Humble would lead for the next 8 laps but get caught up in a minor wreck allowing Klyber to re-assume the point. Klyber would cruise on to his first victory of the season.

The 13.5 race was action packed from the start. Mark Steiner making his first 13.5 appearance would find himself starting outside the front row. Unfortunately Mark’s race would come to an end early as his car lost drive on the opening lap. TQ Danny Bartholomew checked out to a big lead for the first 22 laps before a mechanical problem would sideline his effort. After Bartholomew’s misfortune it was defending BRL champion Pat Simkins taking over the top spot. Simkins made the most of his bump-up starting position after winning the B-man and went on take his first A-main win of the year.
