View Full Version : Drivers Wanted KSKT Racing Products
omnis85 12-13-2007, 12:20 AM KSKT Racing Products is looking for 1 or 2 people on the west coast to sponsor.
We are looking to get our products out west or midwest. We need a few people to drum up some intrest out west, which would mean introducing the car to your local track and again getting some intrest in starting the class where you race. We have a great following here in the North East and would like to see some intrest elsewhere. We mainly deal with SK cars but also offer many products that pertain to pan cars aswell. If you are not familar with the SK cars please take a look at the site www.kskts.com The Sk Class is Fun Fast and a cheap way to get in the hobby if you like pan car based chassis. If you meet these small requirements and feel you can add to the team please contact us.
For more details of what we can offer you please contact me at kenkerttula@yahoo.com please check out our thread aswell on where we have won, what we have done.

You know I had bought a solid Sk and took it to my track ran it let everyone else run it ,everyone thought it was fun but nothing ever came of it .To bad because it was fun to drive.I am in the midwest not looking for the sponcership just giving some info.
Jake
omnis85 12-13-2007, 07:47 PM I know alot of people including myself have had the solid sk car and infact I have one of my own KSK which is where I started this company with. What has happened I would say in the last 2 years is 90% of the sk racers now have a tplate car like the KSKT or other MFG's sk cars. We have found that the tplate sk cars appeal more to the pan car racers where they are more familiar with it right away due to the fact that they are tplate cars with a damper tube and spec center shock. They are a blast to race, nothing like an open wheel race side by side action with a little rubbing. The Sk cars are cheaper than buying a new pan car these days. The avg pan car will run you around $350 with out a body. The sk car I sell comes complete roller minus electronics and tires. Car kit even comes with a body for $235 and has good quality parts such as a complete 3 Hub IRS D ring Diff Assembly, AE dynamic strut front end, carbon fiber main plate,5 hole adjustable center shock mount to name a few.
Also there are certain ways you can buy it,like if you already have parts lying around its easy to throw together and just buy a main plate and body.
Thanks for sharing your info.
SHAKY DAVE 12-13-2007, 08:23 PM Ken,did you get any busness cards yet?If you have any,i'm gonna need some.I'm feelin a bit enthusiastic right now.Going 21.5 brushless/lipo with my main ride.Thats gonna free up some time for me to get my KSKT program going, evan tho i'm running a spec truck class twice a month also.Have you run Tonys 4600's yet?I got 2 packs last weekend.I been running the EP4200's,abusing the hell out of them, and they're getting faster.I won stock at the Encino velodrome last weekend(900 ft runline,5 minuet races)with a pack that ran 3 times that day, dumped with bulbs & equalized.Hopin the 4600's are going to act the same.Let me know what i can do for you.
omnis85 12-13-2007, 08:28 PM Yes I have cards. I would be happy to send them out to you. anything would help out. I figured when the SK cars are going to be raced at this years snowbirds and in RCCA magazine we would be getting lots more coverage I guess I am just impatient lol.
I have ran tony's EP 4600's and Tq'd last week with old ep4200s and I could never say anything bad about him or his packs. We have been freinds for sometime now and when I call he knows just to send some packs we dont even discuss batteries anymore on the phone, lol Good man alround. Glad to hear your success aswell. Cant go wrong with Powerpush batts.
SHAKY DAVE 12-13-2007, 08:43 PM Thats a big 10-4 about Tony.Best packs i ever ran.
Rusty22 12-13-2007, 11:18 PM hey ken. ill take some cards. ill pm you with an address
Larry B 12-13-2007, 11:18 PM What motor and battery rules are the sk cars running at the Birds?
omnis85 12-13-2007, 11:20 PM 4 cell up to 4600mah Stock Brushed motors, cars need to weigh in at 2.30lbs.
THE DARKSIDE 12-15-2007, 12:54 AM DENIED!!!! lol
Ouch....
Stagger2 01-13-2008, 01:59 PM Wish we had some interest in a spec class here at my home track, Omaha Hobbyplex, I always did love spec, it made for vey close racing and a cheap way to bring new people into the sport/hobby. Keep up the good work, car looks great.
Chad O
omnis85 01-13-2008, 02:17 PM aprreciate the words very much, we have worked hard to getting where we are and will continue as long as there is interest.
We offer a spec labeled chassis which is currently being ran every week at turn 4 r/c and is the straight solid non suspension cars g10-fiberglass chassis we dont sponsor spec racers, I just dont see a reason for that.
The tplate cars are an entry level car for someone to race without spending 350-400 dollars on a pan car. The tplate sk gets them ready for pan car if they ever wanted to run the pan cars.
IMO, getting a SK std kit is the best deal, reason being and I can only speak for my cars is that you get everything you need with a little extra bling bling for 235 bucks and it includes a body, all you need is some electronics. Good quality parts and carbon fiber that has been cnc milled to precision.
With that said we are still looking for 1 or 2 racers intrested in running something different, there is nothing like racing open wheel cars, its a BLAST!!!
Stagger2 01-13-2008, 02:33 PM Ken, sent you an email.
Chad O

omnis85 01-15-2008, 10:25 AM HEY
Ken is Danbury considered out west???
Good Luck
Hope to see ya sometime.
to me it is yes but not out west enough lol. I realy wanted to try that track out, maybe when I get back after the birds I can make a sat trip out of it and race with you guys, when are you guys coming up to madness?
darrel 01-15-2008, 09:34 PM Were in the middle of a points race for the legends right now and I want to try to get a win before I take a drop week and go up to maddness. Its getting a little boring, the same 3 guys have finished in the same 3 spots for the last 4 weeks and Ive been the one holding the short end of the stick. I would really like to get up there in the next month or so. When do you get back from the birds? Best of luck to you down there.
omnis85 01-15-2008, 10:30 PM I get back the 4th and will probably take a week or two off after that to get stuff caught up before I go back to racing. You never told me Dunkin made Milkway hot chocolate? lol
darrel 01-16-2008, 06:47 PM I didnt know untill a couple of days ago!! Have you tryed it? Do you have to chew it? and does it run down your chin when you pull it away from your mouth?
Rusty22 01-16-2008, 06:51 PM hey ken. there is no down time in r/c racing lol. every weekend, different track. and i have to laugh about the milkyway hot chocolate running down chins
TC4_Racer 01-16-2008, 09:48 PM To bad u dont do Touring cars..
