I thought of grabbing the clean jeep too, but I already know Ill want the whole clean set so I can just wait that one out.
Wonder why they decided to make the chrome Jeep red anyway? Still I like it. And the only other way to do it would be just straight silver chrome and that wouldnt allow for a straight silver chrome set of dukes cars...

I think I'm going to get them from my local hobby shop. He's probably $1/per car more expensive but I need him to know that there are definitely people interested in this stuff so he keeps ordering. I usually order direct just the whites direct from AW and do my best to buy from this guy.

Must be nice to have someone who carries them locally. Thats how Id get mine also especially since in Oregon theres no sales tax. Wont really be any cheaper but Id rather some of the profit to be going to the shops than to the USPS. But all our local hobby shop has is a picked over rack of AJs parts (oh wait, I did a lot of that picking over!), plenty of new Tomy stuff and some leftover tyco and LL cars from the mid 90's that I swear are old stock from a shop that shut down in Eugene some 5 years ago.

The local shop by me is more interested in keeping the six TOMY/Racemasters that they stock. I think they're more interested in selling paintball guns and supplies and RC stuff. They do have a couple of 1/32 sets and that's about it. I even offered to bring up my door track set if they had an open house or some promotion to see about generating some interest. But they weren't interested. rr

Hopefully that one wont be TOO rare/expensive. Chromed cars are perfect victims for the ole rip and strip job in Mean Green cleaner. I already have a few custom paintjob ideas in mind for that CJ.

Niagara Hobbies in Buffalo New York is selling them for $12.99, but didn't have any of the X-traction Ultra G's, just the t-jet ultras so far.
