wonder what the run line is? our track looks to be shorter than that.. ours is only about 85' run line in Terre Haute, IN

If you havent been to platssburgh its definately worth the trip. The racing is close and the track is tight. Not to mention the people there are a blast.

We have 3 track here locally just like that one. Run line from 90 to 115ft. We even run modified sprints and pan cars on them.

How many laps do the 10.5 cars run. Here in Cali. up in the bay area theres a littlle bullring where TQ was 105 for a 5 min. race.

that track was fun

ah the good ol *rump*, *rump*, thats the sound it made on entry and exit of the turns because the banks were flat, ie not curved to the bank, so the transition from straight to turn was a little tricky.

This was the year Harrington was cheating. There is no way he should have run that good.

I have some tape of a kid named ziegler winning too, (qual. 2nd) and some 1/12 mod, but the recording is even worse cuz my dad did it.

I wonder what kind of cars those were, I know mine was a 10L (maybe the SS) but one time I was there the big deal was the first car with 3 shocks (trinity evolution maybe?) dominating.
The cars look like tanks....!

I talked to Rufiange last night and we figured out that in the spring of 95 I only came and ran mod on sunday and I was running an EV10 (only weekend the car was ran) and that in the stock race he also ran an EV10. Those Walts races were great. Its too bad that racing isnt like it was back in those days. Now there pretty much is only 1 big race a year and back then there seemed to be 1 a month.

The first car I remember with 3 shocks was the PSE Phaze 1 designed by Brad Hayes from Indiana, but I can't remember what year that would've been??

Now there pretty much is only 1 big race a year and back then there seemed to be 1 a month.For what its worth carpet racing is back at Walts and fairly popular, couple of people are running 13.5s and 1/10th and 1/12th are popular along with sliders (3 heats) and sks, only one large race so far The Billy Leader Memorial which raised $2700 for the Ronald McDonald house. Flat carpet but some of the same faces. :dude:

i ran a ev10 at walts as well, for some reason i thought rufiange was running a HD.

i'll tell you the secret at walts...everytime my dad went to the counter to get my motor, he accidently dropped it on the concrete floor!
