Okay,

Pardon my ignorance, but I have a foolish question. I hear talk about so many classes that I get confused at times.

RC10 L3/4 Oval - Oval car
" TC4 - Touring car
" T3/4 - stadium truck
" GT - What's this?
10.5 - What's this?
13.3 - What's this?
pan car - What's this?

Thanks in advance for your input.

RC10 L3/4 Oval - Oval car
" TC4 - Touring car
" T3/4 - stadium truck
" GT - What's this? Nitro offroad truck
10.5 - What's this? 10.5 is a brushless motor. used in many classes instead of 19t brushed motors.
13.3 - What's this? 13.5 brushless motor closer to stock speeds (bit faster though)
pan car - What's this? Same as Asc. L4/L3 Hyperdrive/KSG/CustomWorks etc. oval cars.

Hope this helps some :)

pan car - What's this?I don't remember how/why these were referred to originally as a "Pan Car" but in general there these have a solid rear axle, a flat graphite (or in some rare cases fiberglass) chassis and are probably the fastest type r/c car currently run next to 1/8th scale NITRO cars.

10.5, 13.5, 17.5 These numbers refer to the number of windings used for the electro magnetic field windings in a brushless motor. The lower the number (ie: 3.5) the HIGHER the RPM and Performance of the motor. So a 3.5 motor would be a LOT faster than a 13.5 motor.

On the "T" or "TC" letters, these are commonly used by Team Associated to identify their r/c vehicles.

The Associated line = RC (Radio Controlled) 10 (1/10th scale) or RC10

Then they add the T (Truck) or B (Buggy) then the version 2, 3, 4, 5 ie: RC10-T3 would be a 3rd generation Associated off-road truck chassis.

Most of us have dropped the 'RC10' referrence and just go by the end (T3 or TC3..which would be their Touring Car)

It DOES get really confusing sometimes...then throw other manufactures in the mix and it gets even worse. (Or get confused when an On-Road racer talks about his HPI Pro3 TOURING CAR - or an OVAL guy talks about HIS Hyperdrive Pro3) Different companies...different cars. LOL

Good Luck~
