For the 2008 season, the RC-Oval Series will be adding 2 Brushless/Lipo classes; 21.5 and 17.5.

Briefly, the rules will be: Peak/Orion 3200 Carbon packs only, Novak motors and Novak and LRP speed controls. Car and body rules will follow the standard electric rules (Weight: 41 ozs ).

For those that are not familiar with our series; the first race is in March inside the Daytona Motor Speedway (We pit inside the NASCAR garage!). We are “guest” at Mike Beans Daytona Race. Other tracks include Carolina RC Complex in Easley S.C., C&W Raceway in Ashville, N.C.

There will be 6 more races throughout the summer in the Southeast area (Maybe 7 this year because of the paved Nationals.) ending in September (possibly October)

My pole is this: WOULD YOU LIKE TO RUN TRUCK BODIES IN THE 21.5 CLASS? Bear in mind that we don’t want to make any of these classes “different” than what you would run at your local track but at the same time, with the change over to LiPo batteries, the 21.5 motor might be a good Truck class.

Your opinions please

Something that I found out today from Donnie at Easley; they are running 13.5 brushless and Spec batteries as their Spec class and they run Truck bodies. So, adding "another" Truck body class might not be a good idea. But again, your input is important.

The first race there will be on the third weekend of April. With the Nationals being there again this year, I am planning on bringing it back a couple of weeks before that race. (Everyone will be there anyway LOL) and the Nationals will probably be a points race also.

The full schedule will be posted soon.

Ralph; right now, there are no plans for the COT body.

I was hoping to run 21.5 lipo at Mike Beans speedway race, we began running them in Jax 2 weeks ago, we have been running the regular stock car bodies.
