Hi everyone,
I am new to this sport. I used to mess around with RC nitro onroad and offroad. I just bought the SCX Digital 1/32 nascar track that comes with three cars. My question is sometimes when I stop the car in the middle of the track for whatever reason I cannot get it to go again. I have to either give it a nudge or a push it to get it to respond to the controller. Does anyone know what is happening? Do I need to clean something on the car?

Thanks for your help

Hi Kris!

Welcome the forums! I used to race RC nitro offroad and electric onroad, so I definitely understand where you are coming from.

As for your question, it depends on if you have stopped the car on one of the "dead" areas. A dead area is where two pieces of the track connect together - they joint that is made can be dead and cars that are stopped there sometimes need a little nudge. If your car is not being stopped there then you will need to check the connections being made under the track. Look at where your pieces of track interlock into one another. There should be some metal tabs that bridge and apply pressure to the metal railings. Sometimes those need to get snugged up to be a little tighter to one another.

See if those suggestions help you out any and we can go from there.

Welcome again to this awesome hobby! Hope you enjoy it!
