I had emailed Hasbro a couple of times letting them know I would love them to start a new line of ships for classic Scifi.

Along this line, they could make some 3.5 inch diecast of such ships like those used in movies, books, and shows like
Rocketship Galileo
Rocketship XM
forbidden Planet
Lost in Space TOS
Lost in Space TNG
The Day the Earth stood still
Earth Vrs. the Flying Saucers
Spaceship on Venus
Abbott and Costello go to Mars

Man, there's almost an unlimited source of ships they
could do and relative cheap due to the age of the material
and availability of the licenses

Not Necessarily, it depends upon which wave set is ordered and sold by the store you are buying from. Here, at Entertainment Earth, you can see each ship that is packed in each wave and when they are available. Check out this link:

As you can see, the BG will be available in the 2008 Wave 1 set due out in Jan.

I guess what I said stands as the pattern I have seen at Target stores, Meier stores, WalMart, ToysRus is just 2 of the sets seen in that link!

Guess somebody told the buyers of these chains which to purchase.

Explains why I don't see what I'm looking for to complete the set of Battlestar ships I've got. Where else could I look for these ships without having to order/purchase anything else?

By the way, the Battlestar ships are around $5-$6 a piece.

The last release is out of stock at the moment but when the new stuff gets posted, you can buy direct. If the BG stuff doesn't show, simply type "Battlestar" in the search form and the Titaniums being carried will show. I bought my Pegasus and TOS Cylon here. Many times they restock when they are re-issued in another wave.

I found the Galactica TOS last night at Wal-Mart.

Now I have the Pegasus, Galatica (Mini series) Galactica TOS.
Vipers Mark 2 and Mark VIII and Mark I.
1 Cylon Scout.
I would love to have a couple of Raiders and a couple of Base Stars.

They started the BG mini-series ships almost 2 years ago. They released the following so far:

Vipers and repainted vipers
Raider and Scar Raider
Colonial One
Galactica and Pegasus
Raptor
TOS Viper
TOS Raider (harder to find because it's so cool)

It was announced for 2008 that the TOS Galactica and a Basestar (not sure which series) will be coming out this year. IF demands keeps up, more ships will be coming.
I have seen the TOS Galactica in Wave 1 2008 at Target and Walmart several times now, I picked up 2 Galacticas as it's my favorite.

Most resources are on the Star Wars Universe right now. I'm hoping later they will do Star Trek and/or some of the aforementioned Classic spaceships / flying saucers.

Funny you should mention the price. The website advertises them for 4.99 but I pay 5.99 at Walmart and Target.
