Actually two. I bought the racer with '52' without a driver for a decent price. Bought the light table off craigslist for $150. Ain't craigslist great.

Great Aston Martin you found. I have the same one in the same cond. exept no driver. (on strike?)
That table is wild! Makes the model look like it's floating.

There is a clear plexi top about 6 inches about a white plexi top to give it that floating look. I need to play with my camera and exposure to get a better shot but the table is awesome. The lights both have dimmers on them. I was told the lady I bought it from paid $500 for it. That doesn't surprise me.

I never thought of that, but it's a great way to eliminate the shadows. The impressive result speaks for itself. Congrats on neat purchases.

I found a maker's name but no model number. It is Smith-Victor.

Thanks Tom. I'm looking for something like this for myself.
Looks like this could be it.

That looks like it to me. Wow $150 on Craigslist was a better deal than I thought. It would not be that hard to create something like this on a budget if it is sized just for 1:64.

I have always thought about having a floating stand with interchangeable backgrounds. The only thing is to keep the car from rolling out of the shot LOL!
I'm sure a little earthquake putty for the undercarriae or a small piece of tape to rest against the tires will do just fine.
