Went hunting and noticed a lot of peg warmers for MCG4.
Especially at KMART since they put there's on the shelves a lot later.
Anybody else noticing a lot of peg warmers?

I would love to find a full set of peg warmers, but around here, they have been selling fairly decently, especially at Target. The only warmers I see are the Orange Chargers & Yellow 442's from BJ most of the time.

kb has mcg3 for like $2.88 plus another 20% off because they're closing.

here, Meijers, (don't know which states have these) always have like 10 pegs, 5 cars deep of all kinds of Greenlight...seems like all they want here are the GM's...all the rest just hang.... they also have at least 8 or 10 of the 1/24's...and STILL have 4 or 5 of the 1/18th Mustangs

They sell out quick here .. Target has some BJ cars . I wanted another Purple 71 Charger from r4 , none to be found ... KMart just restocked their set of MCG4. & TRU has only a couple BJ cars , 64 Chryslers from MCG5 & just put out Corvettes ...

plenty here at Target and Meijer. Biggest pegwarmer has to be the Barrett Jackson 68 Impala with the hideous paint job, followed by the 64 Fury with the equally ugly pink/lime green paint. Both of these cars look so much better in their stock form.

Yes, I too noticed lots of peg warmers. The BJAB Rel is really bad and MCG Rel 5 still has not made its appearance. I was afraid of this when they increased the production runs. Although not everyone would be happy, I still believe with the current market, collectors, retailers and hobby shops - a production of no more then 5,000 would be plenty. Stock would turn over a lot faster and new product can make it to the shelfs. Also, On-line hobby shops would not have old product not moving for months. Several still have Rel 2 & 3 for sale. Anyone that wanted to due complete sets like me would just order by the case.

Most of the peg warmers I see are the ugly painted custom versions of the cars.
The first GL custom versions were really tastefully done. Now they look as hideous to me as some of the JL Street Freak cars.

IF GL (or any other maker) limited production to less than 5k cars like Action does, then they would have to charge much more.

In a way, I wish they would charge slightly more - at least in the area of $0.99 more minimum - that way we get *better* castings with more realistic features that are released with more frequency.

if it isn't emerald green, it keeps the pegs warm. till they lower the price to get rid of them. can't see how they can keep carrying this product. it really isn't popular, except for green machines. even the maisto and even the nascar stuff, sells. greenlight just hangs. i think $3.98 is just to much.

The increased production runs is what really created the cars warming the pegs too long. Greenlight, at $3.89-3.99 is one of the best buys in their category when compared to JL and Mattel's so-called "premium" lines.

I have no problem with the price. "You get what you pay for"! The quality of this prduct is outstanding IMO!

I too am tiring of the peg warmers and am ready for some new product. I work next to a Miejer, Target and a Menards (Indiana) and all have had the same cars on the pegs for a long time. There's even a K-mart down the road with the same problem. I make rounds to each one almost everyday or every other day. I even buy one or two form time to time to open to help get rid of them but it doesn't help. :(

this series isnt much to be desired.
i think thats why GL gave away the GMs of them lol!

pick your poison. target, k-bee, tru and k-mart all have and have had peg warmers since august. 34 pieces as of sunday (out of 36 from 2 weeks ago) at k-bee alone. manager said they will be alot cheaper if they don't sell for a $2.98 price by christmas.

The Target in Harper Woods MI. recently got release five.
I got the yellow Road Runner, but none of the police Chargers.

Everywhere else is just release 4, BJ, Pace Cars, and Corvettes just hanging. :(

The Mustang Hardtops dont warm the pegs do they, nope didnt think so. IMO they need more pure muscle castings to me the old boxier cars just dont move. Mustangs, cobras, First gen camaros, chevelles, cudas, gtos, cougars, gtx, road runners, thems the styles that MOVE out and MOVE out fast off the pegs and on the street......... I also belive a Truck series would be hot for them, old trucks and new ones in a true scale we need somthing to pull our barn finds and auction buys home with.
