pink_sleeve 12-10-2007, 12:36 AM How's the new track coming?
it looked about 3% done to me :freak:
Scott54 12-10-2007, 12:51 AM From what I heard, the upstairs is almost complete, except for the stairs and the railings. Then they're going to build the track. So it shouldn't be too long.

i doubt they'll be open this sunday but theres a 97% chance i could be right :freak:
emod15_777 12-10-2007, 10:16 AM The upstairs is AWSOME. If your over that way, stop and check it out! Lance will probably need a hand this week to finish the track. It is alot of work for one guy to build an entire track. We have a hard time doing it with the equipment we have. He has put forth alot of time and $ to build a second floor, now he just needs to get the dirt moved. If Lance could organize a "work day" maybe he can make it this week!!
Scott54 12-10-2007, 11:16 AM If Lance could organize a "work day" maybe he can make it this week!!
Let me check my work schedule.....
I'm in! Just let me know what day. I didn't think this weekend was a possibility, if it is then let's do it!
emod15_777 12-10-2007, 10:15 PM Just thought I'd let everyone know, Lance intends to be open this week. Maybe we can get someone to put some pics up.
wheels-a-fire 12-10-2007, 11:42 PM I'am thinking after 3 on sat. for me. It's going to be a 6 day work week for me so time is limited. I would be more than willing to get pics up if i could get some help posting them mabye with photo bucket or something similar. Just don't have any practice at it but willing to learn.

Then it looks like my plans have changed and I'll be racing in Vienna this Sunday. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Scott54 12-11-2007, 11:56 AM Lance, what's the dirt like that you're getting? I want to make sure I have the right tires!

It's brown Scott, and for tires I would use rubber ones.Just my 2 cents.

Rubber Zeros would roll better!! :freak:

DAMN, guess I better tear off those foam tires I just glued up. Thanks Phil!
ccm399 12-11-2007, 06:31 PM So what time do the doors open Sunday? Racing starts at ???????
Entry fee?
Thanks,
Chris
Scott54 12-11-2007, 07:06 PM Chris, Lance usually had the races starting around 12:00-12:30 last year depending on the turnout. Doors open at 10:00 but I'm willing to bet there will be people there earlier. He's going to have plenty of pit space with electricity. Dress warm! Although it's indoors, it doesn't get that warm in there. They do have some heaters in there but don't expect it to be 90 like Ryan's track!! As for race fees, I'm not sure but I think it was $12 for the first and $6 or $8 for the second. I'm sure Lance will post something soon to correct that! Also, his software doesn't work with personal trandsponders so remember an old body for a hole or rig a mount underneath. .... I've seen people get upset not knowing this at the last minute and having to cut a hole in their new bodies.
As for tires, last year I seen Holeshots, Bowties, and Ifmar pins a lot. But I know lance is having more dirt delivered so I'm not sure what will work. Hopefully pink tapers!!
ccm399 12-11-2007, 07:38 PM Thanks Scott!
I have IFMAR pins and a few other tires that might work. Do I need a table? I am thinking yes. Hopefully it won't be too cold out Sunday! Thanks for the heads up on the transponder! I will have to make a mount some where.
Chris
This is of course if I am able to go......
Scott54 12-11-2007, 07:46 PM You shouldn't need a table unless the track-level pits are full and he hasn't built the pit spaces upstairs yet. They had plenty of space and tables last year and they just doubled their space by adding an upstairs. From what I heard, there was supposed to be pit tables around the outside of the upstairs. You might need a chair though. I'll find out from Lance and get back to you. I'm going to go help build the track sometime this week so I'll try to get some pictures posted.
ccm399 12-11-2007, 09:38 PM I normally bring chairs to the bula so I'll have those with me.
Looks like our schedule is clear so I should be up for BOTH days!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
wheels-a-fire 12-11-2007, 10:30 PM Scott, When did you plan on going to have fun to help out?
Scott54 12-12-2007, 12:05 PM Scott, When did you plan on going to have fun to help out?
I just talked to Lance and he's going to have the dirt all broken up today and we can start tomorrow. I don't know if we're getting much help on this so whoever can help, please do! I'll be there around 10:00 tomorrow. If you come out, bring some shovels! And Victor, I hear we're using your layout design.... What's this I hear about an offcamber-doublecrossover-triple? Wow! J/k
wheels-a-fire 12-12-2007, 11:10 PM ! And Victor, I hear we're using your layout design.... What's this I hear about an offcamber-doublecrossover-triple? Wow! J/k
That's not a bad idea, I mean just the offcamber stuff. You know you should put an offcamber in some of the 180's the whole way in and out instead of them always being flat all the way through. Just an idea and i'am sure you will come up with some of your own, just don't try to fit a 30ft triple in there  unless you really want to  I would really like to come out tomorrow but unfortunatly i have to work til 6 for the next couple of days and til 3 sat which is when brandons b-day party is. So the only time i will have would be friday after work for a few hours or so. If you can use my help then, Let me know by thursday night. Good Luck on the build, Can't wait to try it. :woohoo: :woohoo:
rc-raceway 12-13-2007, 03:03 AM Me too
Scott54 12-13-2007, 12:06 PM Well I'm getting a late start, just now leaving to go work on the track..... in 31 degree temp....... in freezing rain!!!!!!! If you can make it out this Sunday it will be worth it! I'll post some pictures later today (if it's worthy!).
By the way, if nobody hears from me or if I don't show up at ARCS on Saturday, I'm probably frozen solid at Lance's!
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

now that's funny!
Scott54 12-13-2007, 07:53 PM OK, I'm back from working on the track. We got a lot done today and we're actually putting the pipes down now. I'm estimating the track is probably a 16 second lap track and it show flow quite well. We put two sets of doubles in, off-camber turns, and some other things to make it interesting. The doubles are spaced so if you can't clear them, you can roll them. I think Lance is going to post some pictures tonight. By the way, it was 50 degrees in the building today. I know we did a roll call to see who's coming out, but who's running what? I'm running 2wheel, 4wheel, and mod truck. (I imagine if there's not a big truck turnout it will just be an open class).
ccm399 12-13-2007, 08:09 PM 2-Wheel for me!
Pics are good:thumbsup:
Scott54 12-13-2007, 08:29 PM Doug, you gonna make it down? I wanna see how the new math works on a loose track!
ccm399 12-13-2007, 08:35 PM Doug, you gonna make it down? I wanna see how the new math works on a loose track!
So Phil is not going to be coming out??????? Hmmmm, I thought he was in.
Scott54 12-13-2007, 09:08 PM I heard he is. Have you heard otherwise? I said that about the new math cause Doug is running an X-factory too.
ccm399 12-13-2007, 09:09 PM No I have not heard otherwise just your post made me think he wasn't coming.
Scott54 12-13-2007, 09:16 PM Sorry for the confusion. I think we're going to have a good turnout, at least a turnout with some fast drivers! I'm going to go to the track tomorrow and work on the track some more and help Lance with the finishing touches. I might run some laps too... Need to get that extra edge!!
ccm399 12-13-2007, 09:34 PM Oh I see how its gonna be!!! LOL!
See ya soon,
Chris
XXXT4me 12-13-2007, 09:43 PM Lance
Nice job on the loft.
Scott, count me in. 2 wheel stk or mod. I am going to do the tranny swap.
Now you will have to average me in to that 16 second lap estimate, umm maybe 20+.
Track looks like it will be fun!
race4life27 12-13-2007, 09:52 PM i would like to run stock truck if i have to ill run mod
Scott54 12-13-2007, 10:30 PM i would like to run stock truck if i have to ill run mod
I really don't think running mod will be any advantage on this track. It's just cooler to do WHEELIES!!
race4life27 12-13-2007, 10:41 PM do u think there will be egnough to run stock truck? i just ordered novaks new velociti light 7.5 motor anybody use that motor yet? i hope it works well if i have to run mod my diving skill arent really good egnough to run mod yet. guys dont worry if your lapping me i will leave u plenty of room to go around. lol ill get there one day.
Scott54 12-14-2007, 12:46 AM The Velocity light motors seems like they'd be good if you're not used to the punch of a mod. I run a Velocity 6.5 in my XXXT and a 7.5 in my XXXcr. Even at bigger tracks, the difference between mod and stock is normally a second or two.
badassrevo 12-14-2007, 08:07 AM Doug, you gonna make it down? I wanna see how the new math works on a loose track!
I don't think I will make it. I have to go to my moms and pick the kids up. She will be watching them on Saturday so I can go to a Christmas party. I wont be at Ryans either.
