View Full Version : Out with the old and in with the new ones...
olesarge90 12-07-2007, 02:35 PM I went to nearest WM yesterday during the day and ran up on these beauties. I did not have the CC or the checkbook so I took so drastic measures...I hid them all right there in the model isle. Later after supper and all, I returned to find they had all be relocated to their respective pegs...Just one thing though, they were all still there, YEAH...olesarge90/Gill

BluntFronts 12-07-2007, 03:18 PM All cool finds! Can't wait to get those myself - WM here I come!!
96gsfan 12-07-2007, 03:37 PM Have not seen any of those except the Cougar. Does the Magnum Police car have Texas markings by chance? We have a Brazos county here. Will be cool to find some of those.
olesarge90 12-07-2007, 03:57 PM I will cut one out of the blister and see...on the other hand, are you in (live in) Brazos County? Just a thought, since the model is said to be a real model of their, Brazos Sheriff's Office Unit, maybe if you are close enough you could check out this idea...How about offering a donation to their cause, sorry forgot the name of it, for a autographed blister by one of their deputies or better yet the Sheriff himself. If they are will and require or would be more willing to do so, ask them or the sheriff what would be an appropriate amount for the donation...If you happen to be the one that makes the, for the want of another word, pitch to them, tell them there are several current or retired law enforcement officers, such as I am, that are avid collectors of police, fire, and emergency units...Hope this gets a positive response, thanks again for your question and I will get you an answer soon, olesarge90/Gill
olesarge90 12-07-2007, 04:11 PM You are invited to go to this website for the Brazos County, Texas Sheriff's Office and take a look at their beauties as well as a special pick of this very model in question, enjoy olesarge90/Gill
Sorry, left this out:

Hey olsarge, good idea. Brazos county is just to the north of me. I get there now and again. I will pick up some of these when I can find them and go speeding through the county to see if I can get some autographs while they are getting mine...lol. :p
I will check into this and let you know. Should not be too hard to pull off.
olesarge90 12-07-2007, 05:01 PM I knew we "Texas Gents" could relate...Thanks for taking the ball and running with it. I currently have two and I will be looking to get a few more as RAOKs for a few of my special 'little friends'.
Be sure to assure them these will not under any circumstances go on the bay or be sold for any personal profit. olesarge90/Gill
History note:
It was a deputy by the name of Sgt. Randell I believe that was the original project officer on this...
DCPDGUY 12-07-2007, 05:42 PM Found all those @ WM this morning. Plus 25 '00 Vette and 30 Mitsu Eclipse Left the Scion as it was totaled (the car itsself).

if you do the hide and slide......hidem and slide back in later and buyem, do not hide things in toys, take it to another department. works all the time. i've left things for months in parts of stores that little attention is paid. and if you can find an open floor shelf, it may lift up, and things stay there for years! when i was heavy into it, i left things and forgot about them alot. remember a year later, and they would be clearenced for like 75 percent off.
Turcicus 12-08-2007, 12:33 AM The best thing about the new models and cards is that there's actually a checklist on the back listing what else is included in the segment (Sports Cars, Emergency, etc.)! The Sports Cars list an "08 Lotus" and a Morgan Aeromax!
JasonZ 12-08-2007, 10:08 PM Hey, was there a green bronco in that set? I live in Texas too. More exact, Southwest houston. Brazos county is near here
craftymore 12-10-2007, 12:01 AM The casting and attention to detail are among a host of reasons why MB are taking up a bigger and bigger chunck of my diecast dollars. On a side note, when will the unimog be released by MB?
