SMS88 12-07-2007, 02:14 PM Lovely display  -I remember the Superfast issue and choosing a dark blue no 5 Lotus Europa which was the last example in the shop so it had to be removed from the display which was mounted on one end of the register counter of a local newsagent (these days the shop is a restaurant). I hope to one day get a lovely display like this for my 1970 set of cars 96gsfan 12-07-2007, 03:40 PM Impressive! That is one nice display. Only wish I had the wherewithall to have kept some of mine from that era. But of course I was only 8. I was supposed to play with them, wasnt I? :p Lummox 12-07-2007, 09:17 PM I just love seeing those cases. That's the one I remember seeing most next to the turny-spinnie ones. So many great lustfull moments staring into those cases. I hear you SMS88, I'm needing one of those as well. And for the same purpose. 1970, man! Although I couln't fill it up like you guys could! WTG, Tom!!! The Moutain 12-08-2007, 03:57 PM very sweet picture  with crisp colors and no glare. suitable for framing. :) Atencio 12-09-2007, 08:36 PM Awesome picture Tom. I was 8 as well in 1969. I think most of mine are now buried under tons of dirt. I had so many of those as a kid. Brings back lots of memories. craftymore 12-10-2007, 12:04 AM Awesome complete looking display of vintage MB Tom. Thanks for keeping us younger collectors informed on the roots of MB. Always appreciate your pics and posts of all the older MB. Zach matchboxtom 12-10-2007, 02:14 PM The store display is from about 1980. But I still think the set looks great. 1969 original store display should be one of the rotating plastic ones or cardboard display. markkaz 12-10-2007, 06:14 PM Very nice display and presentation! Guntownal 12-13-2007, 12:56 AM very sweet picture  with crisp colors and no glare. suitable for framing. :) Couldn't agree more, I think I stared at it for about 15 mins.
