How about a vintage Willys "Gasser". Joint project #5 by myself and Stupid Squirrels.
I was going to wait for a while, since there are so many great SS BARN FIND customs on the boards right now. But I am just so darned pleased with how this one turned out that I just had to go ahead and share it!
The "barn find" and "behind the barn" are purely coincidental. I was working on the design and concept for this piece months ago, long before John announced his new trade name. I thought it still worked out pretty cool that we found a "Barn Find" behind the barn! :p
I seldom, if ever ask John do anything particular on my cars, just to work his magic. But for this project, I had a very clear vision of what I was looking for to make the over all project come together. John just nailed it!
The wheels and tires are from Buster (aka Dr.Olds). Genuine 70's vintage AFX meats. They are what inspired me to the idea in the first place. I thought they looked perfect on this piece. I am lucky enough to have several of his customs, and this one just inspired me! So this truly started over a year ago when he gave me the custom with the wheels and tires already on the car.
Thanks for looking guys! Have a great day.
