The dates for the Tri-state series are now confirmed. The first race will be at the Lansing track on May 17th. The second race will be at Machesney Park Raceway on June 21st. and the final race of the series will be at Ingals on Sept. 27th.. All of these races are open to anyone who would like to race. You can come for one race or you can run all three of the races. We race for points and at the end of the series plaques are awarded. There have been some pretty good giveaways as door prizes in the past, bodies, motors, gears, parts and other items.
If you are looking for good close racing this is it. We always have fun and everyone IS welcome. :woohoo:
Classes are Grand National, Sportsman, Sprints, Trucks if enough show( 3 or more) and novice/bush/chargers (The beginners class). QSAC rules apply.
Come one and all.

Are these all just one day races? if so I think I might try and make all three. I have been wanting to come to a few different races so maybe 2008 is it...What kind of qualifying takes place? and how many laps are the mains?

These are ONE day races and are all run on Saturday. We pill draw for starts or let the computer do the setups for heats. Heat races (two for each class with the field inverted on the second round) are 50 laps for everything other than sprints. Sprint heats are 35 laps. Mains are 300 for Grand National, 200 for truck and sportsman and the sprints run 75 laps. If you decide to come a day early you can run on the track Friday. It is not required to be there on Friday but many of us show up a day early to practice and socialize. Qsac rules are the norm. Some of us camp out at the track on Friday night.

I have been trying to enter the address in my GPS for the Funtyme track for some time now and have just realized that the address I found was wrong. I found the correct adress on the GLQSR site,

Funtyme Park R/C Raceway
6295 E Saginaw Hwy
Grand Ledge, MI 48837

This is the address for the track if any one is trying to Mapquest or GPS this track!!!...
