Hi all...
Been an r/c guy since 85.. Recently picked up a Baja B5 in a trade and it's got me thinking big... I haven't seen too much organized racing for the baja's so that got me looking at 1/4 scale sprint cars. I'm right in the middle of Missouri so in my quest for racing, I found Timberline Raceway in Kansas.. Thats a drivable distance..... So, I spoke with Dave about his track and the 'whats up' with the 1/4 scales in his neighborhood . (Nice guy, too) And I spoke with Jim or Tim ?? (crappy cell reception) from Pro1.. (Another nice guy!) Anyway, I'm considering a 1/4 scale sprint car pretty hard now... and I guess I figured I ought to meet some of the people who are into it!

well i got one and have ran it out at tline a few times.. its very fun,,, most every one out at tline will help you anyway they can,,, and some of the people on here are good guys to talk to,, scott told me ALOT about them,, if you ever ran a 1/10 sprinter these things are easier (to me anyway) to set up.. if you do get one the wing kit from pro one is a must,,, helped the car so much and look better too

It was great speaking to you the other night Victor. Welcome to this site as KID mentioned there is some very knowledgeable people on here to answer your 1/4 scale question's.

Just jump in with both feet I'm sure Jim (owner of Pro 1) and I and other Pro 1 racers will get you set up.

I will be traveling a little in 08 as there is tracks in Iowa,Ohio closest tracks besides mine, and of course the trip of the year will be in Pennsylvania @ the Dirt Nationals

Jump in with both feet, huh? Hehe.. Thats how I do a lot of things :p

I've put a few of my toys on ebay.. Ought to help offset the initial costs. But when I get worked up for a new r/c car, waiting the 6 to 8 weeks is gonna be TOUGH! (Jim said thats the wait right now)

Hey, silly question.. How are the numbers for the cars designated? :hat:

You can pick your own number to run. On our site in Michigan I have people fill out a form and I post what they are running for the year. That way they can see who is running what if they don't want the same number. Works for us anyway....
