RCRacer00 12-05-2007, 11:36 AM Just giving it a bump. WinterBlast warm up race this Sunday.......
Weapon 1 12-05-2007, 06:30 PM I think there is Too many 1/10 Pan car classes.
what do you think......
ovalrc 12-05-2007, 08:15 PM I think there is Too many 1/10 Pan car classes.
what do you think......
What's missing? Have any ideas?
RCRacer00 12-05-2007, 08:17 PM Out of the classes offered I really only expect prob 3 to be of interest. But we're offering what's there to see what developes.
RC5150 12-05-2007, 08:21 PM Anyone up for 10.5?
Beero 12-05-2007, 08:56 PM I know I asked this on another thread, I'm looking to get an idea for the Mod car count, I'd hate to drive all the way from Ohio to race with 3 people, I know Mark Z hard said he was interested in running brushless Mod. Just looking for some Feedback.
Thanks,
Joel
ovalrc 12-05-2007, 09:04 PM I'm interested in mod, and a couple guys from Rhode Island have spoken up about wanting to run also. I'm sure the closer we get, the more response will get.
Weapon 1 12-05-2007, 09:43 PM It's tough to choose now on what class I want to run.
Too many Brushless, will see what happens.
I dont' know what Class I am going to run yet.........
RTOURANGEAU 12-05-2007, 10:05 PM What about 1/10th 19turn pancar ??
Bob T
ecoastrc 12-05-2007, 10:20 PM Can't wait. Trying to come up for some practice time. You can bet Team KSKT (MILKY) will be there. maybe some pan cars too.
RCRacer00 12-05-2007, 11:00 PM What about 1/10th 19turn pancar ??
Bob T
There hasnt been ANY request for 19T this season, since 13.5 is almost the same on our track.
ovalrc 12-06-2007, 09:34 AM What about 1/10th 19turn pancar ??
Bob T
We haven't had any real interest in 19 turn since early last season. Toward the end of last season there were only two of us running 19 turn, so it kind of faded. If there are enough entries to support the class during the Winter Blast, I'm sure Mike would add it.
As for the speed of 19 turn and 13.5, 19 turn is still much faster, maybe a legitimate brushless replacement for 19 turn would be 10.5.
I would recommend anyone wanting to run a class not offered as this point to let your intentions be known to Turn 4 management so accomendations can be set in place before the last minute. Remember there needs to be enough interest to justify the addition of a class.
Just my couple of pennies, Bill B

Mitch....13.5 seems to be where all the fast stock guys have gone.
RTOURANGEAU 12-06-2007, 11:31 AM You should consider running 17.5 brushless and Stock brushed together and 10.5 brushless, 19 turn brushed together to cut down on the number of classes. Just a suggestion, I have been where they were run together and they are very close.
Bob T
Weapon 1 12-06-2007, 03:01 PM I "think" 10.5 and Stock will be my class of choice this year and Maybe 13.5
Looking forward to racing on the High Banks with the Best guy's in the Cold North

Ya, what Bill said.
fastforward 12-06-2007, 04:20 PM personally,I believe the stock brushed classes and 17.5 are not that close now that more people are running the 17.5 and getting the right rollout for this motor they are gaining close to a lap each week.you will see the difference in the motors more on a larger track like turn 4. 2 cents

Well said.....
J-Dub Racing 12-06-2007, 05:23 PM Same can be said for 19 turn and 10.5. They are not close at all. Truth is none of the brushless classes and brushed classes should run together. It creates 1 more thing for everyone to cry about.
Joel White
RTOURANGEAU 12-06-2007, 07:49 PM Fine, just have 11 classes to try to run, I agree that Brushed and Brushless shouldn't run together, I was just trying to have fewer classes and be able to accomadate more people but, your right someone will whine, I'm not sure what the best answer is so, I'll be watching for the solution. Hope to see everyone there.

I couldn't agree with you more Bob on too many classes, all that does is dilute the number of cars in each class, it doesn't bring in any more racers.
To date this season the biggest turn outs at Turn 4 have been 13.5 brushless, in pan car and in SK, and I'm sure that will be the same at the Winter Blast.
For me, I'll be running 13.5 and most likely open mod.
Weapon 1 12-06-2007, 09:52 PM See what I mean.....
Its' too confusing right now with all the Brushless Hype.
I think Novak Screwed it up.........
Tommygun43 12-06-2007, 11:51 PM For me, I'll be running 13.5 and most likely open mod.

RCRacer00 12-07-2007, 11:47 AM WINTERBLAST WARMUP this Sunday Doors OPEN at 8AM. Come in early we'll have the Coffee on. 1st heat @ 1pm each round there after on the Hour.
RacingWidow00 12-07-2007, 12:17 PM It has been our policy at Turn 4 to NOT run brushed and brushless motors together in the same classes at trophy events. We've done it on a case-by-case basis for weekly club races, for example when 1 guy comes in with a 17.5 motor and there are 2 or 3 other guys running stock brushed then we put him in that class if everyone is in agreement, but we will NOT combine brushed & brushless at Winterblast. Upon early testing of the 2 motors and their lap times on our track, we just don't find that they are 100% equal. We also do not allow a brushless motor running in a brushed class to break a Turn 4 Track Record.
The only exception to this rule is the Open Mod Class which will run brushed & brushless together.
Weapon 1 12-07-2007, 10:07 PM ....Antonio thinks he's fast
Tony was the Fastest man in the Northeast at one Time or another.
Back in the old Plattsburgh Day's at the Bowling alley and that's about it.
I think he's getting to Old and Moldingl.LOL

Yeah...He's O.K. :D
Jacque has his car running well....almost as good as his Tamiya cars back in the day :drunk:
Weapon 1 12-07-2007, 10:19 PM I think He was running for Trinity back then and he was Fast. What ever Happened to himLol
I am just picking on Him, He is My Buddy.
I know he will Say' something to retalliate......
Turn4RC 12-08-2007, 12:13 AM A Few Minor changes are in the works for the WinterBlast, We're hoping the changes will make things a bit more convenient for the guys that have to travel to get home on Sunday Evening. We should have the changes made and posted in the Morning.
ovalmaster 12-08-2007, 02:39 AM Once upon a time.......(so the story goes!)
Well, I guess I am not getting any better with age. Do you think that I lost all my speed when I lost my hair? If that is the case, I am going to join Hair Club for Men and try to get some speed back (It's that or I am going to have to run for Trinity again!.....remember the Evolution, that was a great car in its day!).
As for the Blast, I will be running 10.5. Hope the weather cooperates this year. It is a pretty long trek from the other side of the border.
See you guys there,
Antonio
PS - anybody runnin' 1/12 scale this year?

Roman Pemberton 12-10-2007, 12:33 AM got a few interested in coming from north carolina just wanted to know what the car count was looking like for 13.5, 10.5, and mod havent been there in about 7,8 years and think it would be a fun trip thanks.
fastforward 12-10-2007, 09:44 AM hey roman, how have you been?i havent seen you since the king speedway days.13.5 should be the biggest class so no worries there about the count there.interest seems to be up about the 10.5 i believe that class will have plenty enough to make the trip worth it.can you talk that chris smith guy out of retirement? take care hope to see you again. clayton jennings
RCRacer00 12-10-2007, 01:04 PM got a few interested in coming from north carolina just wanted to know what the car count was looking like for 13.5, 10.5, and mod havent been there in about 7,8 years and think it would be a fun trip thanks.
Clayton said it best. No Doubt 13.5 will be the most popular class. !0.0 and Open Mod should be up there. I've heard talk about getting a 3.5 Brushless out there. It should be a GREAT time.
RCRacer00 12-12-2007, 07:33 PM Things are coming together nice for this race. Dont be fooled by the Roll Call Thread ther are ALOT more people planning on attending that havnt posted to say so. Im Pretty sure we're allready looking at a C-MAIN for the 13.5 Class.
I've also got a Prof Camara guy coming in to take pictures of the races, awards, pits, etc. This is the same Company that takes pictures for Stafford Motor Speedway. They should get some great shots. Check out there website www.dmsracingphotos.com (http://www.dmsracingphotos.com)
Greg H 12-13-2007, 02:52 AM Roman,
Can you drag Arnie along with you? I plan to run the fastest brushless class, whatever that is.
RacingWidow00 12-13-2007, 10:57 AM What is the 1/12 scale car of choice for those attending winterblast? I heard from a couple that it is KSG. Does anyone run the CRC Razor?? I want to make sure we have the necessary 1/12 scale parts on hand just in case! SO PLEASE let me know ASAP. Thanks!!!
-Kim
ovalmaster 12-13-2007, 03:25 PM Kim, most people on you list race KSG. I think that DJ runs a Maverick.
Antonio
Turn4RC 12-13-2007, 08:33 PM Thanks Antonio!! That's a BIG help!
