Ive been tossing around the idea of redoing my track before spring because I want a 4 lane setup instead of 2. I remember there were a few websites out there as well as ebay selling the hard to find peices such as 6" radius and 15" radius turns for tyco. I have an all tyco setup right now and I'd like to keep that BUT I would love to incorporate a 18" banked turn section into my track with the afx stuff because its wicked fast and the banking isnt so short and steep that the older cars cant run on it. But the point is I havent been able to find a seller of these custom tyco and afx track sections. I found some thread from years ago but all the links were dead and the only reference Ive seen on the forums is to someone named grandcheapskate. If anyone knows who sells these different track sections please post some links because Im sure Im not alone in this search. Thanks!

I have an idea I would like to throw out to you all. I have in my basement, and I have seen many posts of other guys with both Tyco and AFX tracks. I have tried the adapters and that works okay but what I would like to see is a one for one exchange of track pieces between those guys that would like to expand their AFX track by swapping to guys who want to expand their Tyco track. The expense would only be shipping and handling if there was an even exchange.
I also have a couple older AFX sets, one has a 90 degree intersection and the other has a banked u-turn track if anyone is interested.

Holy plastic sectional track, Batman! Some good citizen needs my curves!
Just to clarify, there are no 15" or 18" banked track available anywhere. Tomy makes a 9" and 12" bank, Tyco a 9" bank, and Lifelike a 9" and 12" bank. Yes, Lifelike has made a 9" bank but it was only available, as far as I know, in the Disney Test Track set.

Thanks Joe, just got your email. And thanks for clarifying my dreams of a 15 or 18" banked turn are impossible heh. Me thinks you need to be building those. If there were a 15" banked turn you could really make some momentum and you could still run t-jets and aurora chassis on banked tracks. I have 9" banks and the t-jet BARELY makes it if I dont get a good run going thru those sections. Its funny how nascar is so huge yet nobody makes a slot track that actually resembles how a nascar track is setup with wide sweeping corners. They arent marketing the tracks very well IMO.
Anyway, this at least tells me what I can build now so I can rule out the larger turns. And now anyone who didnt know the whole story will!

Get the banked sections routed by Brad Bowman.
Expensive but awesome.
