The US specification lights don't do much for the looks of the SM - I think I'll stick with my Minichamps European version.

Just like they did nothing for the look of the DS.

Same with Mercedes past '68 or so. Earlier on the 230 SLs.

SM is such a wonderful car. I think it looks quite unique with round headlights and it would be cool to have both versions (U.S. spec and Euro) side-by-side.

I find it interesting how the designers 'flipped' the rear-end of the car. Rear lights seem to be in a place of the bumper, and the bumper is above them. It's good! :p

Set of DVDs, seasons 1 to 11 + Peugeot 403 cabriolet Solido scale 1/18th. It sells for 99.99 euros ($140.00).
Shame Solido didn't make the 403 in the right color !

Do you have the actual Columbo 403 Cabriolet 1/43 diecast with his dog in the back and coat laying over the back seat? I picked that up a few years ago but I forget who made it. Norev maybe?

Is it the one you're talking about :

It was made by Eligor, based on the 403 sedan Norev old mould.

Do you know this one :

I really like the last car with the Columbo figure.
Back in the 1960s Solido made a correct light metallic blue Peugoet 403 convertible with red seats and a driver who did not look like Columbo but with paint could have! These are available for $20-$50 at euro toyfairs depending on condition. My beater example cost me $2
