View Full Version : QSAC Update jbell31 12-02-2007, 01:08 PM Website changes and QSAC information jbell31 12-02-2007, 01:11 PM Hello everyone. The QSAC website has been updated with all the NCS information, 2008 Rules, and the entire Form Center documentation for 2008. I have added a button on the primary webpage for the calendar. I plan on updating all the webpages to make the buttons appear the same for each. It's a work in progress. cnccustom 12-02-2007, 01:23 PM Thanks Jim......Great job on the site Chance62 12-02-2007, 09:35 PM Everyone may want to check out the homepage again. There is clarification on the issue with the carb blocks for next year. DMP_SMOKE 12-02-2007, 09:51 PM where do you see it on the home page?????? Slider 12-02-2007, 09:57 PM Must be late, it is right on qsac homepage. tells all about the blocks etc. DMP_SMOKE 12-02-2007, 10:10 PM im on home page and see nothing about blocks got it now  Chance62 12-02-2007, 10:17 PM youre on the qsac homepage right? jbell31 12-05-2007, 07:05 PM I fixed many (Not all) of the links that would go nowhere and made it so the menues are all the same from page to page. If there are links that are wrong or un-needed, please let me know. I'm going to work on a few other things. Thanks. Tim Mc 12-05-2007, 07:52 PM Jim, Please change the link Alabama Quarter-Scale Auto Racers (http://lagoonparkrcraceway.com/) to Lagoon Park R/C Raceway Alabama Quarter Scale has been disolved for a few years now. It is listed right on the tracks & clubs page. Thank you cnccustom 12-05-2007, 08:04 PM Jim.....Dannys Quarterscale Cars no longer has a website... I have not seen him in years ..... jbell31 12-05-2007, 11:29 PM All set. Thank you for the updates. If you see more or if there are ones I need to add. Please feel free. Thanks again... Tim Mc 12-05-2007, 11:34 PM Jim I appreciate you changing our link. The BRP link shows a file download warning. Never mind...there's a problem with his site. jbell31 12-05-2007, 11:36 PM I know, I seen that the other day. It's his website though. I thought I was loosing my mind there for a while. I may need to contact him to let him know... Tim Mc 12-17-2007, 10:23 PM Just wondering if QSAC gets any royalties from the joker on ebay selling "the real QSAC racing" videos? The pathetic display of tasteless pics more than likely hurts 1/4 scale than it helps. I like looking at women...don't get me wrong, but that is not family oriented advertising in my opinion. jbell31 12-17-2007, 11:26 PM Tim, Could you elaborate a bit more? I'll look into it. If there is someone trying to hurt QSAC and using thier name, we definitly need to do something about it... Please send me an e-mail or pm. Thanks... Tim Mc 12-17-2007, 11:41 PM Jim, follow the link. He has many videos that states this is real QSAC racing. Most of the pics of cars are not 1/4 scale. http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Speedway-Racing-1-4-scale-cars_W0QQitemZ120187345988QQihZ002QQcategoryZ19168 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Also, scroll down here to see it all http://toys.search.ebay.com/1-4-scale_Cars_W0QQcatrefZC6QQdfspZ32QQfclZ3QQfgtpZQQf posZ35023QQfromZR2QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ32QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ 1QQlopgZQQsabfmtsZ1QQsacatZ19167QQsadisZ200QQsaobf mtsZinsifQQsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQsargnZQ2d1QQsaslcZ2 QQsatitleZ1Q2f4Q20scaleQQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZunknow n jbell31 12-18-2007, 12:13 AM Tim, Thanks, I am looking into this now... Tim Mc 12-18-2007, 12:20 AM Thanks Jim. Nothing wrong with showing off the hobby, but I think this guy sends the wrong message about what QSAC is all about. IN2RACIN 12-22-2007, 12:27 PM Thanks to Jim Bell the last QSAC Newsletter of 07 is now posted on the QSAC site. www.qsac.org (http://www.qsac.org) Btw Jim, you have been doing a great job with the QSAC website! 22Dasher 12-30-2007, 01:08 PM Hey guys. I went to the website to join QSAC for 08 and noticed there is no way or I'm overlooking it to join online? I'm hoping I'm just overlooking this and if anyone could point me to where I can join online. I would hope they are not still using the old way of making out a check and mailing it in with the new technology of the internet we have today. Anyhow you all have a Happy New Year and see you guys next season at some point. James Tim Mc 12-30-2007, 01:20 PM You have to print the form then mail it in. 22Dasher 12-30-2007, 01:24 PM You have to print the form then mail it in. Thanks. I was hoping I just overlooked where to join online. Heck it'll be end of 08 by time I find my check book and get em a check mailed :) James Tim Mc 12-30-2007, 01:46 PM Yep. There are easier ways of paying like.....paypal. We need to put that on our list of suggestions for QSAC in 2008. Thanks. I was hoping I just overlooked where to join online. Heck it'll be end of 08 by time I find my check book and get em a check mailed :) James FMurry8995 12-30-2007, 02:43 PM Hey guys. You can also hand your money and info sheet to any QSAC official and they will send it on. I am not saying that to be able to join on line would be great but the old fashion way does work very well. Remember that our secretary is a volunteer and she (Doreen Brown) does one great job for QSAC. Fred Murry jeffdavis38 12-30-2007, 09:06 PM Yep. There are easier ways of paying like.....paypal. We need to put that on our list of suggestions for QSAC in 2008. Have to mail it because of the insurance form. It has to be signed. That is why they have always mailed it in. Have you guys got your order? Tim Mc 12-30-2007, 09:36 PM Ah...now we know. Mike has not emailed or called yet. I would expect Monday or Wed. Have to mail it because of the insurance form. It has to be signed. That is why they have always mailed it in. Have you guys got your order? jbell31 01-02-2008, 09:16 PM Added J and M Hobbies to the scroller and made it scroll faster. It stops for a beat more too... I still hate it and I am looking into other methods to deliver this type of advertisement... Something with more user control... Please let me know what you all think... jeffdavis38 01-02-2008, 09:28 PM Thanks Jim, I'm looking at giving out the J and M Hobbies Headache of the race award. With a gift certificate for each class. What do all of you guys think? I think they will be the ones that will need the parts the most. Tim Mc 01-02-2008, 10:56 PM Jim, The scrolling advertisement is a nice touch but it takes so long to get to the partner one could be searching for. Maybe a drop down window for the partners would be quicker? Or possibly a list on the sidebar in smaller fonts such as Hank has here on HT? Just suggesting. cnccustom 01-03-2008, 08:28 AM Thank You Jim for adding Bullseye also.................... jbell31 01-07-2008, 11:59 PM Who out there has some video of races? I am working on a new webpage for QSAC that will have an embedded YouTube connection with a YouTube account for QSAC. So far it looks great and I think it would go a long way to promot differnt tracks and our hobby in general. If you have some video that you want posted on the QSAC site, please send them to me. I plan on doing like little interviews and other helpful videos as well. If anyone would like to help with that as well, I'm all for it... Thank You!!! jbrooks39 01-08-2008, 12:35 AM Who out there has some video of races? Not sure if the server is dead or if the hosting site did not renew the hostname or what. I am on the phone with tech support to get it figured out ASAP. I am sorry for any inconvenience. jbell31 01-12-2008, 05:26 PM The QSAC website will be down for about 3 days due to several things. Part of the issue is a migration of data to a new system. I will try to keep everyone informed, but please be asured that the website will be back up ASAP. If you need information or something off the website, I can get it to you, just let me know by e-mail. Like if you need the rule book ot a web address or something. I am real sorry about the inconvenience as this was an unforseen outage. The site will be back online in a few days, as this was an unavoidable outage. Please let me know if you need anything off the site, I will be happy to pull it off my computer at home and send it. Tim Mc 01-15-2008, 09:58 AM Thanks Jim. I will be linking to the QSAC forms page from our website but it's now big hurry. It has the NCS Final Showdown from DFWRC in it. Nice Job!! jbell31 01-17-2008, 09:33 AM Finaly!!! Back online. The website is going through some changes that are ocuring in the background. Six days ago the registered name "qsac.org" expired. This was something that was set into motion more than 5 years ago. Unfortunatly for me, I have been going through some serious red tape to rectify this perminently. QSAC and I appreciate your patients in this matter. In addition, there are some other things with the hosting site, happening in the background that will make the site more secure and function better (faster). I can't say that there will not be another interuption in service in the coming week or so, but I will try to make it as painless as possible. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. jbell31 02-01-2008, 05:19 PM Hello everyone. I've made some more changes to the website, (I hope for the better.) I've replaced the scroller that was there with one that the users can control a bit. You can use an automatic or manual transmission...lol Also added a Manufactures News and Updates scroller to the right side. This will be used for special announcements other than the typical news that will be added below. We have a few new QSAC partners. Willmann Racing Products and J & M Hobbies. These folks are what make 1/4 scale racing possible, so please take a look at the ad's and new additions to the QSAC website. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
