Those are the dynoshox thet frankie everheart makes. Those are the shocks I have on my cat5 on ebay. they are the best shocks I think on the market. They're not cheap but they are very nice shocks. I paid $340 for mine a set. I dont know how much they are now.

Do those shocks [DYNOSHOX] have a rubber o ring on the piston or just a derlin piston ,,Thanks Robert

Robert, yes it has an o-ring on the piston. The other thing I like about his shocks is the spring retainer has an o-ring in it as well so the retainer stays where it's supposed to. I hate using an extra retainer or a tie strap to keep them from moving.

Ok thanks , O rings are good for using lighter oils ?? , I crip the threads on the other retainers that dont use a O ring on the in side , but the O rings inside are the way to go ,, I am getting good performance out of the newer WCM shocks Just a little work and they are great Thank you Robert

Ed, I really dont know. I would think with the o-ring there would'nt be as much wear, but I guess the more protection the better.

Have you worked on my project any lately?

While Jack Hada is no longer making shocks, there are still some available. Jack did make one of the best shocks in quarter scale; period.

Gina is no longer involved with the MPR track; she will direct you to talk with Dave.

I have a complete set of four (4) shocks that are new, never used that I would be willing to sell.

If someone is interested, shoot me an email: brooks.joseph@insightbb.com or a PM through this conference and we can talk.

You can also contact Dave Pirrello from MPR. He can connect you with the guy that has Jack's left over inventory. I am not sure how much or if he is willing to sell, but he is one of Dave's best friends and can get you in touch with him.

Really, I use to run Hada shocks a few years ago. I really liked them. I never had any problems with them leaking. I switched back to Lightning shocks when they changed theres, but I now have problems with them leaking.

Tom Hughes makes an after market shock that I hear is pretty good. I don't personally know as I don't run them but I have always been happy with his products.
Fred

Yes, I have heard that Tom makes shocks. I have never seen them. I also have been told they are pretty good. As far as the others, I am not sure I would spend $85.00 a shock? Those things would have to maintenance free all year long or something.

We've used Tom Hughes' shocks on 2 cars for the last two years. They are beautifully made and virtually maintenance free. They are so easy to work on if you have to change valving--it's simple. We use the 50/50 configuration but he can supply you with 90/10 through 50/50 valving and several rebound rates and they use motorcycle shock oil. Very inexpensive. We like them because you just put them on and forget about them. They are good to go for the season! Or maybe longer?
