Brushless: Bolt it in, take it out when it dies... Oh yeah, and dust the tire dust from the case frequently...

LiPo: Good question... I'll pass.

I would recommend an occasional light oiling of the bearings... One local racer ran his 10.5 for about 4 months on the dirt oval without cleaning and without oiling the bearings... the bearings seized up and killed the motor...

Dave, I haven't done anything to my motor since the day I bought it. I have only 6 races on it but it's just as fast now. I oil the bearings every couple of race days and make sure I blow all the dust off the motor every run and that is it. As for the battery it is the same thing so far. I just put it in, clean it off and charge it every time I get off the track with my advantage charger with an equalizer. Glad to see your moving in the right direction, You'll never want to go back once youv'e raced it. ;) See ya next Sunday.

My 13.5 has been out of my car twice in the past 9 months, once so I could change a T-plate and once to get Teched ( Katfish was nice enough to blow it out while he was checking it :) ) otherwise I oil the pinion side bearing between races.
