Brian F 12-03-2007, 01:04 AM Hey Chuck! That's right, the first race of the WBRL is next weekend. We realize it's a bit short notice from when we anounced it but it took a bit to get all the area tracks lined up and dates finalized.
As for where Dorchester is... follow this Mapquest Link:

Thanks, Brian
chuck47 12-03-2007, 11:17 AM Hey I get a brake here that's only 3 1/2 hours for me  that's held at a armory isn't it  it looks like I'll be there I'm not sure about my son but I think he'll be there also
Chuck, It's at this place. I unfortunatley can't make this race due to family issues. After doing football and attendeding the BRL in Iowa this last weekend if I miss staying home this weekend I'm dead :(
chuck47 12-03-2007, 12:21 PM A few years back I stopped and talked with the owner of KDM and found the armory so I pretty much have a place in my head where they are. To bad you can't make it, that family life and work sure do take their time hey.I see where you ED and Buddy along with others I know ran in Vinton, How do you like the 17.5 calss I never saw it run yet but will next weekend.:woohoo:
I really like it faster than stock but same driving style
chuck47 12-03-2007, 12:25 PM I'm going to take a serious look at it but sure like the 13.5 class

Brian F 12-10-2007, 05:55 PM Sounds like it was a great time up in Dorchester on Saturday! The turnout was a bit light which is partly due to the lact of time we had to promote the first race of the WBRL. Also, no one really knows what a great club they have up there with a very nice place to race, great food and some of the fastest racers you will find anywhere!
They are already talking about next year!
Next stop on the WBRL is in West Bend at the famed Triclone on 1/12/2008!
Thanks! Brian
Brian F 12-10-2007, 05:57 PM Here's the Flyer!!!

I would have loved to have gone, exept it being over 4 hours away per mapquest .. Kind of a big hike considering all the other tracks are within 2 hours..Maybe next year..
Brian F 12-20-2007, 06:19 PM Hey everyone, just a reminder... the WBRL Championship points will be calculated on the best 3 out of the 4 races. Racers that did not make it to Dorchester can still make the following 3 races and be in the points!
Thanks! Brian

Brian F 12-28-2007, 11:13 PM Hey Jimmy... you have mail.

burbs 01-02-2008, 04:57 AM Just an FYI.. There is a few people who are running lipo 21.5 on a weekley basis in the 13.5 class.. There is an advantage to the lipo deal, and i would stongley disagree if this was allowed to race in the 13.5 class at these events.. This could take away points from peopl who earn them with the proper equipment..
KLUPI 01-02-2008, 08:07 AM I would definatley agree that right now Lipo is in the testing phase and should not be legal for points racing. I don't know weather there is a huge advantage, but the Lipo cars are hooked up right now and I believe one TQ Trackside. I agree for points racing in the WBRL at this point you should only earn points with a non-lipo car. I don't care if Lipo's run, but they should not earn points.

Actually -- Mark Steiner TQ'd at Trackside with 13.5 4-cell. I was 2nd qualifier with my 21.5 LiPo. Mark also won the A-Main with 13.5 4-cell; I ran 2nd. I have no intention of running 21.5 LiPo in ANY points events (and I am not running in ANY points events).
Thx.

I also think that if all of the racers in a certain class don't have the latest 4600 cells that all cars should be made to run what the most guys have. If only 3-4 guys have 4600 and 5-7 guys have 4200 then lets say only 4200 cell for this race. Some of us can afford new cells with only a few races let in the season!!!...

This is what was told to me this moring. Lipos are not legal for any of the points classes but could be run as it's own class. WBRL follows the rules for the BRL and lipo batteries are not legal at this time. If the BRL ever allows them in the series then they will be legal also. But currently NOT LEGAL in any class that has the points involment. Due to the shortage of 4200 is the olnly reason 4600 were made legal. ( as far as I know )

You'll be fine on 4200s, the 4600s don't have an edge.
Hays Jr 01-02-2008, 03:27 PM The 46's arent an advantage right now. I ran faster on 42's last weekend.

CBear3 01-02-2008, 06:26 PM Oww, that burns. :)
Andy Koback 01-02-2008, 11:00 PM The 46's arent an advantage right now. I ran faster on 42's last weekend.
You could run fast with 2 AA's and 2 "D" cells made by Duracell!!! lol
KLUPI 01-03-2008, 04:58 AM I ran the 4600's and they only felt faster because they were new and my 4200's have been run a bunch. 4200's 4600's Lipo's rubber band powered, let's run it.
Brian F 01-07-2008, 11:31 PM The next leg of the WBRL will be held at the Triclone In West Bend. Practice will begin at 3PM on Friday. Doors will open again at 7AM Saturday for Practice once again.
Should be fun! Brian
burbs 01-09-2008, 09:45 PM Ive been running dead shorted 4200's this year, and they have been strong, and fast. before the dead short they sucked.. Now they run strong start to finish and dump like a rock. No slow fall off like before..
