Guys,

I have a small engine repair shop that I am doing as a side business, I am in need of a tachometer for both 2 and 4 stroke equipment. I was considering one of these that I seen on Tulsa Engine Warehouse's website. It says for 2 and 4 stroke SINGLE CYLINDER EQUIPMENT. will those work on say a lawn tractor that is a twin cylinder? if that wont work what do you folks recommend?

Thanks for the info.

This is the description right from the website....

Yes, these tachometers will work on twin cylinder engines as long as each cylinder is operated from it's own cdi module. Most single and twin cylinder engines fire on every revolution even though it only needs to fire on every other revolution. Some multiple cylinder engines use a distributor and only fire when needed, this would give an inaccurate reading with this type of tachometer.
