View Full Version : Health warning - Brushless causes obesity!
Outlaw 44 11-25-2007, 08:49 PM My question is, since we're not spending all that time working on motors, you gotta admit it's tempting to pig out on track food in between rounds. What effect will THAT have on our waistline?
This is bad news:freak:
swtour 11-25-2007, 09:14 PM LOL - true...and since you should have MORE MONEY in your pocket..you might be able to actually afford to EAT at the races... LOL
Oh wait - I forgot the price of GAS will probably KILL that idea!

Patrick...you should be working on your chassis between slices of pizza. Just alternate and you'll be fine.
Or...use your motor lathe to cut down your portions, then make ankle weights out of your old cans and go for a jog.
Outlaw 44 11-25-2007, 09:22 PM I sold all my old brushed motors and went out for some pizza...LOL
Tommygun43 11-26-2007, 01:36 AM Patrick - you have exposed a serious issue with brushless, wow! This is huge! This is probobly the end of brushless racing! haha
Saturday I had plenty of time to go to store for 4 subs for my teammates running brushed+BL, took quite a while, came back and ate then went and BS'd with people. My teammates yelled at me for not being in my pit, lol, having waay to much free time I guess. I think they just missed me! I also had time to make This Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJRrudlDzuY).
You were fast-we all noticed! Congrats and better luck next time (with them letting 6 in the A (were gonna wreck no matter how many are in the A anyways lol).
burbs 11-26-2007, 02:04 AM It isnt just brushless, the new trend on everything seems to be laziness.. we have no work on motors, people paying to have there cars built and setup, every new part out seems to require less maintinance , pretty soon we will be seeing people with full pit crews like nascar.. I would love to show up grab the transmitter then race.. LOL...
Tommygun43 11-26-2007, 02:48 AM Well to alot of people, their time is spent better with their family instead of building motors.
Outlaw 44 11-26-2007, 08:55 AM Cool Video!

What's next?
The 2.4 ghz radio waves from our Spektrum systems MAY cause cancer if you hold the transmitter close to yer noggin' for more than 15 minutes?:)
jenzorace 11-26-2007, 12:34 PM Is this the reason why the BRL has so many fat guys? Just reading this im getting hungry.
Butters16 11-26-2007, 01:40 PM Holy cow , We got brushless causing obesity and spektrum causing cancer, After racing 3 different classes this past weekend , I got the best of both worlds!!
signed the Spektrum using Fat Guy LOL , mmm give me another slice of pizza my car is perfect.
katf1sh 11-26-2007, 08:41 PM hmmmm it looks like i have been running brushless since 1986 than! lol
Jesse Bean 11-29-2007, 08:53 PM haha, Great thread, outlaw!

Obviously you haven't seen Tony Stewart race at the USOWC. He has Landgraff do all his work for him..... he literally just walks out of his Featherlite motorhome in time to watch the heat before his and grabs his transmitter and walks on the stand.
must be nice....
ScottH 12-06-2007, 11:34 PM The video is gone.

We've had this for years too...matter of fact, I did this for JR Sitman the last 3 or so years he owned NORRCA. I'd wrench on his OVAL car/truck so he could race... That's actually what got me into seeing races from 'The OTHER Side'
I remember being at some of the BIGGER Oval Races on the West Coast back in the late 80's, early 90's where some 'big names' showed up who were not normally Oval Guys...and they seemed to be handed a 'Ready to Run' car too. DRIVING I thought was the easy part... I'd KILL to have somebody setting up and maintaining MY cars these days... Over the years, I've grown to HATE working on them. (There was a time when I got home from work, ate dinner and went to the shop around 6:30 and worked on RC Stuff until 1 - 2 a.m. EVERY night. Kinda got BURNT OUT.
