I would like to design an edm chassis and would like to know why the transmissions are turned around in some of the cars. I will be running on a carpet oval and would like to keep the tranny where a buggy's is.

Loose tracks you would run rear motor mounting. tow jockey 12-02-2007, 06:27 PM you can run a traditional configuration with the motor inthe rear if you push the battery and electronics as far foward as you can get them. running on carpet, i would definetly go mid mount, going rear mount will probably cause a very hard push in the corners. tweakedt3 12-13-2007, 11:24 PM I will vouch for the mid motor on high bite or carpet. After running trucks for years in a stock setup, I always had a push. I just got a mid motor, and even after 2 years off, just hacked a setup in it and had to dial out steering, it had no push compared to what I used to run. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
