Skoda 120L, 1/43, Abrex

Abrex is a Prague based brand that sells models only of Skodas in 1/43 and 1/72 scale. The models are all made in China by Hongwell and the similarity in the packaging makes the Hongwell origin clear. The 120L was a Commie era beater that is still quite common, in well abused state, on the roads in the Czech Republic. I saw lots of them, none nice. I saw none of the older Felicia/Octavia line. I bought the models in Czech on a recent trip there; no Abrex models seem to be available in North America.

Your 120L has a nice color too, suits it well. There were quite some around here about 20 years ago, haven't seen one in a very long time.

I browsed through their website, and there are some cool models I haven't heard of before. Like this one, Škoda Popular Sport Monte Carlo - 1935. Looks beautiful!

Or this one: Škoda Superb 913 - 1938, great design.

Yes, that coupe looks great. I was unable to find those models of older cars. The only ones easily available were the ones I posted plus current vehicles as well as many various fire, police and taxi designs on castings of current cars. Unfortunately I was not able to get to a Skoda dealership; maybe there I could have gotten a better selection. Yes, the 120L in the drab color looks right. Many of them I saw on the street were like that - gray/blue, tan, off white, muddy orange, drab green.
