Im new to the whole create a body movement but for xmas I wanted to make a body and paint it up for a relative. He owns an SS pickup and I wanted to try to make a pickup that resembled his beacuse he's a big collectors in HO stuff. Does anyone know if tyco or afx ever made a chevy pickup of any kind for HO scale? Ive seen a dodge ram but even if I tried to paint one of those to match he would smack me for giving him a dodge lol. So if anyone else has some ideas I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!

Aurora put out the Fall Guy's Chevy Pickup out in an AFX model slot back in the day. Came with a chrome front push bar and rollbar in the bed. You can still find them around pretty reasonable. rr

Tyco also produced a stepside pick-up.
It (and the fall-guy truck) can be found on EvilBay alot.

Lifelike made a newer silerado pickup a couple of years back (3 or 4). Google lifelike silverado or go here for picture http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/lif/lif9754.htm
Over the years, there have been several pick-up truck options from the big three slot makers. Which to start with depends on which SS truck you’re trying to replicate? Those that I can think of are as follows:
Aurora/AFX
62' Ford F-100 (?) pick-up (Uses the vibrator chassis, but a Tjet will fit with no modifications)
32' Ford Slimline truck (expensive when original, but plenty of resin casts exist)
International (?) Good Humor Ice Cream Truck (Makes a nice Tjet pick-up truck w/ the back cut off)
Chevy ElCamino SS (Not really a truck, but an SS non-the-less)
Chevy Blazer Baja Xlerator (recent AW remake, last of the Tjet style)
Datsun pick-up (resin cast by our own Dragjet)
56' Ford step side (fits specialty chassis)
Fall Guy as mentioned
FYI, Aurora did NOT produce it, but they were working on a 70's step side pick-up.
Tyco
70's Step side Chevy
Stomper 4x4 (Jacked-up) looks funny on anything but a Stomper chassis
Nissan Stadium/Baja style truck (Most recently w/ Giant cockroach on its back)
NASTRUCK Chevy (I can't tell the difference)
NASTRUCK Ford (I Still can't tell the difference)
Tomy
Devils Ditch red (Remake of the Fall Guy truck)
Devils Ditch blue (Remake of the Fall Guy truck)
Race Truck (White/Green) (Remake of Fall Guy truck)
Your best bet may be to resin cast one of the many diecast trucks.....I even think Mattel makes a Chevy Typhoon SS model in HO scale.
Hope this helps :)

Man that lifelike is PERFECT! I dont know where all you guys find this information but THANK YOU!! I was hoping to find a tyco or afx/aurora but beggers can be choosers. The main thing is I wanted to paint it to match his truck and that will be a great start for me.
Show us some pictures when your finished.

You could possibly adapt the Lifelike body to one the other chassis. A page back their was a posting on "Lowering AFX Bodies??" (I don't know how to copy that threads link here) that showed others adapting bodies to fit afx style chassis.

Thanks for that! I will look into it. More than likely the lifelike setup will work for him because this is meant to be more of a body that wont be raced with but more of a collector since he has QUITE the collection already. Thanks for the ideas guys.
