is there a difference between prefilter oil and air filter oil? if there is, does it really matter?

I would think so. but i am no nitro expert. I would think that prefilter oil is probably thicker and stickeyer than normal air filter oil. but I do think that they could be interchanged. personally though I have never heard of prefilter oil. I have heard of prefilters and I am wanting to know what the nitro guys think of the new fit over prefilters. (the ones made of nylon) they look pretty neat.

pre filter oil is alot stickier then air filter oil is. it helps attract the dirt to the prefilter before it goes into the engine. i personally dont use it because i think it blocks up the pre filter and doesnt let enough air get into the motor, so i just keep a few clean ones around when im racing. Ive never heard of air filter oil though.
