I would think that prefilter oil is probably thicker and stickeyer than normal air filter oil. but I do think that they could be interchanged. personally though I have never heard of prefilter oil. I have heard of prefilters and I am wanting to know what the nitro guys think of the new fit over prefilters. (the ones made of nylon) they look pretty neat. HOPE THIS HELPS Sean Scott blade 11-14-2007, 09:07 AM pre filter oil is alot stickier then air filter oil is. it helps attract the dirt to the prefilter before it goes into the engine. i personally dont use it because i think it blocks up the pre filter and doesnt let enough air get into the motor, so i just keep a few clean ones around when im racing.
