Are Slottech cars legal, or is this a whizard only race?

Larry, you should contact Ed if you have questions about specific chassis or parts. The latest rulebook qualifies cars and parts based on them being "readily available" and makes no mention of specific brands except where there is a distinguishing characteristic of the chassis, like Life-Like flux collectors and Tyco 440X2 bulkheads.

I hope you are asking questions because you are seriously considering showing up for the races.

Per the 2008 Rulebook, yes, the 3 versions of the Thundercat, and the one version of the Grey Panther are legal chassis.
