Seems the only thing really missing from this forum would be a continually running thread of castings that we the MB collectors want. The JL board here on HT has had several threads about this topic and so has the HW forum.

Suggestions can be of any car, truck, van, SUV or industrial vehicles you can think of. New or old, all suggestions are welcome. I'll start with what I think would make some killer Matchboxes for 2008.

2009 Nissan GT R
2008 Mini Traveller
BMW Concept CS Concept

These are only a few of what I believe would make killer Matchbox castings.

I look forward to everyones suggestions. ;)

2005 Honda Civic Si, but I'm a bit biased.

I actually think they're doing a great job right now, and can't really think of any glaring omissions from the lineup. None that they can help anyway.

New Mustang would be neat, but plenty of companies have it covered already.

There's a few Ferraris I'd like to see, but only HW gets those.

Things like Evos and WRXs and Skylines would be cool, but I imagine there wouldn't be much demand for those in stock form.

Actually, just thought of one. Honda S2000. I don't know of one in 1:64, it'd be great if MB did one.

And while they're doing the Bentley thing, and Arnage T would be cool.

Jason,

SuperFast has your GT-40 Mk. I. Look for the 350Z in the current 1-75/1-100.

No Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW!

Some Acura stuff - the new RDX and MDX are cool. And I'd like to see a TSX with a body package... :dude:

VWs are always popular.. but neither Hot Wheels or Matchbox has made the squareback yet.. that would be cool. I don't like Jada's Urban styled ones. I also want to see a 90s Ford Econoline raised-top style camper van as no one has done them yet and they are cool.

I really like the retro cars that Matchbox has been putting out this year like the old school bronco, the hearse, the alfa's, and the Autins. I just want them to keep coming out with more old school really.

Was there any Lamborghinis for Matchbox?

Lummox
11-28-2007, 11:09 PM
Yup, they did a Countach back around 1975 or so. Number 27 was it?
It was pretty nice!
Of course the coolest one imo was the #33 Miura. Released in '69 I think
and was origonally yellow with regular type wheels. It was quickly changed to
Superfast wheels and the color changed to a dark goldish. It was awesome.
The first Superfasts in '69 was the last of the great Matcbox cars in my opinion.
R.I.P., Lesney!!!

I think they did a Diablo in the early/mid 90s, but I'm not sure. Also, I think they have a newer version of the Countach as well.

A '60s/'70s Jensen Interceptor. It had deluxe British coachbuilding and a Mopar big-block under the 'bonnet'. A 440 Six-Pack was available! They even did an AWD version called the FF.:cool:
