Hello,
orangetri-axle is me the supposed dead beat bidder.I have 100% positive feedback on ebay from 234 transactions,42 positive and 0 negative from hobbytalk swap and sell.
the auction ended on the 5th,today is the 11th...6 days later.Does a sunday with no mail service count as part of the 7 days to recieve.
I sent the form through ebay right away letting you know payment was on the way.
I answered your email today(that you sent yesterday) as to if I sent the money order...I mailed it on the 6th.
I have answered and followed all the guidelines for this auction.
So how will you handle this situation?
If you haven't recieved the money order yet,it should be there tomorrow.
And you have another auction with the car running?
The ball is in your court, what's gonna happen?
please advise of your intent.
thank you

Triple-20 That Sounds More Like It

I Knew There Was More To This, Payment Is Not Going To Show Up Instantly Thru The Mail .

As A Seller I Would Think U Wait Till A No Payment Request Is Sent From Ebay Then Wait The 10 Days To Get Your Listing Fees Back And Then Relist It.
It All Sounded Like It Was Way To Fast A Turn Around To List The Same Car Again.

Hope It All Works Out For U .

The auction clearly states payment is expected within 7 weekdays. Since it ended on the 5th today would be the 5th weekday although it could be excluded since it's a postal holiday.

The seller should honor the bid. With a buyer with the feedback Walter has, he should be sure the payment would be coming. It's not like he had to rush to relist it as the item certainly wouldn't have dropped in value.

Exactly. If it says 7 days, give him 7 days.
That is right thing to do.
Not to relist it so soon.

Hopefully, they will work it out.

I am not like everyone else that has to spite someone on stupid feedback. Unlike my past dealings I have learned to let them pass. Ebay sucks enough with there new score card on the sellers performance. Seeing buyers don't understand what it cost to ship an item/Supplies,materials or the fact once the item is shipped and they choose ground that the item doesn't show up in 2-3 days. When not paying for priority mail. This place is like an old lady's rest home. If you have questions or remarks on what a seller is doing ask them. Don't sit here going back and forth saying how come this and why that. My God this is why I hate sites that open talk when no one ask direct. I emailed him twice on the separate days and no response. I usually start my auctions on the weekends so buyers are around to bid. Seeing most people don't have time during the week. And auctions usually don't bring as much as they do on the weekend. Especially after someone has money in there hand after getting paid. And are willing to spend more. Yes he has 100% feedback but so didn't others that got there first negative feedback before loosing there perfect record. My auction states 7 weekdays as was up front before item was bid on. I told the buyer if it shows up on time I would end the auction. I am just surprised that is wasn't sent priority mail or had delivery confirmation or tracking with it being so much. But its his money and if has this much faith in the P.O. then ok. And no DAMANOFWLS it is going to show up instantly as you say it but I figure I would of seen it by at least Saturday. I haven't had anyone send a payment ground mail in years. Seeing it usually takes anywhere from 2-9 days and sometime more for it to show up. Most people wouldn't want to risk payment not being there. Or just don't care when it gets there as long as they get to say it was sent give it time. What you all don't seem to point out is the fact I am on ebay to make money and sell and get paid as fast as possible to add to my income to help pay my bills. All of you work for a living from what I would hope you like to get paid after working right!! You wouldn't like it if you were expecting you pay after a week of work and get it when ever your company feels like paying you. Well I don't either so when I don't get a reply from a buyer after two days of emailing especially when its Friday night and Saturday. I didn't relist the item until Saturday night I figured the buyer backed out and just didn't want to answer me. I didn't get a reply from him until Sunday night so 48 hours after the first email what would you think. So next time your all bored and want to know what's going on in someone else's life I would say get on here with and start with the how come this and how come that. Or just be MAN enough to ask the seller direct how come the same item is relisted. I don't have time to file a nonpaying bidder and give B. S. feedback and wait for my fees back which if anyone has a clue what they give back is your final selling fees back not every dime it cost to list it and sell it. Which in most cases are $2-3 dollars. and why should I have to wait 10 days to relist an item if a buyer fails to come through on there end of the deal. Well hopfully this give you something new to read and talk back and forth about. And yes it will come across too some of you that I have a chip on my shoulder but who wouldn't jump at the ones that have to yap about them behind there back.

And to ROADWARRIOR flexable you got to wake up your dreaming still just becuase I take a money order doesnt mean take your sweet time paying. The post office gives you the option to send payment out next day or 2-3 day priority mail. Use it dont make the seller wait for payment. How would you like it If the seller took as much time as your payment took to receive to send your item. The buyer has control on getting payment made on time or in a timly manner. Stop using excuses for buyers. You obviously either dont sell or dont care on when you get paid but there are others on ebay that do. And waiting for SNAIL MAIL isnt what we like to do. LQQK at my feedback seller shipped fast received fast and happy with shipping and item. Its because they paid right away and jump in the 21st century and used paypal or sent payment so in a way that it showed up on time. Have a good day Buddy..........

And yes its FUNNY that I put PAYPAL ONLY on ALL MY AUCTIONS I listed this weekend because I am sick of waiting for payment.DARK cutlass you all seem to post alot but dont seem to buy as much as you talk. This must be the reason behind all the talking on here and not having high scores of trading. Because you all read what others have to say instead of emailing sellers.

In the end, Ebay says that the buyer has 7 days to pay. Since it has not been 7 days, you are in the wrong here.
Yes, I sell on Ebay and love to get my money fast, but sometimes I have to wait too. As long as I get it within 7 days, I'm happy.
If you do not like Ebays policy, create your own auction website. :)

oK Road warrior were on the same page I hated paypal just for the fact they cost my alot of money as a seler of the year. But its right away and item is shipped out the very next day. This how I like to operate. Fast and smoothly. If I win an auction that has Money order only I send it out the next day priority mail with delivery confirmation and if its over a certain amount I insure it so I am covered all around. Anbd dont have to wait for even to get refunded fromt he POST office on my money.

Hurmmm, simmer down now. I was merely stating the fact that after this whole ordeal, you did indeed change how you list your auctions. and by all means, I have no problems with that, actually prefer. Gives buyers no excuse for payments. I actually personally don't bid on auctions that DON'T accept paypal, don't want the hassle of money orders.

And why must I spend every dime I have? I guess unlike you, I don't have an endless budget to spend on my hobbies. There are plenty of cars on the bay that I would love to have in my collection, but can't afford them. If you notice (which I am sure you looked), I haven't bought on the bay since about may or june... which just happens to coincide with me purchasing my first house. coinsidence? or just me being broke now? I don't even have internet at my house yet, Use my works computer on my breaks. Heck, i'm using rabbit ears for TV!

So please do not insult me by judging my character by looking how much I "talk" to how much I buy due to the fact I can't afford everything I see. Thank you

blah, blah, blah.........

Bubba, your rant is just plain baloney on SO many levels!

If you don't like the "open talk" forum of this "old lady's rest home", DON'T bother coming here! You JUST registered, you don't like it....don't let the door hit you on the way out!

I have a question for you? Do you have a life outside of your job and Ebay? No, didn't think so. Guess what, MOST people do! Ever hear of people leaving Friday after work and not returning until Sunday night for a weekend away with family and/or firends? With NO e-mail during that time?? No? Didn't think so. But then again, one of your auction stips is that you MUST be available via e-mail 24/7! LOL!!

It's funny, though, how YOU can't even follow your own auction stips. And you're trying to tell us that NO ONE in YEARS has sent you a payment via 1st Class Mail?!? Pul-eeeese!!! So in effect what you're saying is YOU are too CHEAP to use PayPal (as a cost of doing business--welcome to the REAL world), but you EXPECT your buyer to shell out $5 for Priority Mail, or worse yet, $15 for EXPRESS?!? My Goodness!!

And guess what? The seller/buyer relationship does NOT constitute an employee/employer relationship. To make that comparison is ABSURD!!

If your life revolves around you using Ebay to pay your bills and get paid INSTANTLY through the Postal Service, perhaps you should be using that energy to find a better job instead. Just a thought.........

I believe I have well over 120 ebay purchases and have paid with money orders and sent them all regular mail. I always get + feedback with statements like "superfast payment" Etc. Regular mail is not a bad thing. Like someone else said you can't expect buyers to spend more $$ to send payment by priority.

all i can say is that you are the one who needs to wake up and the one who is living in a dream world if you expect a buyer to pay an additional $4.60 to send you payment via priority mail just because you are too damn impatient to wait the allotted time. if you expect to get paid instantly, then you shouldn't offer to accept money order payments period and go with immediate payment through paypal! i can tell you that i wish you luck getting even 1/2 as many people to bid on your items if you were to go that way. i love how you state that this guy took a sweet time paying when he did in fact send it out in a very timely manner. i also hope you realize that people do have a life outside ebay and it isn't always possible for them to run to the post office to send your payment the very minute the listing ends. all i can say is that i am very glad to see this thread as i now know one seller i won't be buying from.

Just saw this post. Glad it all worked out Walter. I was going to chime in but at this point there is no need. I'd stake my reputation on what Triple 20 told me and that's a fact.

On a side note. Even though my trade rating is in the double digits we all know I've handled literally several thousand transactions through Fest. I can't tell you how many times I'm asked to be patient on slow payment to me then about three days after payment is sent I'm asked where their cars are? My integrety is questioned like a first time newbie like I'd stiff a guy over a car and risk the reputation of the show.

In all my years doing this and all the thousands of cars, only two issues came up. One ended up where the product was delivered but the guy threw it out in the box packaging after he found the extra bonus and gave up on the rest of the contents and the other case, the receiving end turned the package away because it was .26 postage due and had also moved and didn't notify me.

I have far more faith in the post office batting average than I do with some of the people I've dealt with.

Glad this one worked out especially for Walter.
