I couln't believe carb cleaner actually worked on detampoing the plastic roof.
Took a long time, but it's doable. Still not quite pefect yet.
The rest of the car was pretty easy.

That's really sharp especially with the steelies! :thumbsup: I haven't used the carb cleaner before. How are you using it? Q-tips? Rags?

how do you get the silver on the lugnuts and the dust cap? what paint and method do you use? those little details make your cars look fantastic!

I'm glad you posted this. Remember I ruined the roof of the Vair with nail polish remover, havent used it since. I didnt think a plastic roof was possible. I took the tampoes off the vette by spraying carb cleaner on a Q-tip. I was also wondering about the lugs and dust cover. Looks great! You must have good eyes and steady hands. I may try that using a toothpick for a brush.
