Happy late RataTuesday!

Picked up a widescreen copy today of Ratatouille at Bestbuy for 14.99 not a bad price, saw it twice on the big screen and still loved it all the same on the 'small' screen.

It was one of those killer family movie nights. The DVD does comes with deleted scenes, a segment called 'Fine food and film', that zanny alien 'Lifted' short and a new one called 'Your friend the rat' where Remy and his brother Emile talk about the history of rats, the myths about the black plague and more then it ends in a crazy, funny song they sing about us and rats all while everything they discuss is played out in that 50's early 60's cool cartoon style.

If you haven't seen this one yet you gotta see it...in my opinion it's Pixar's BEST!

Four paws up!!

I picked up the Blu-ray disc of Ratatouille at Fry's for just $14.99!

I also picked up the Blu-ray of Pixar Short Films and Cars.

Can't wait to watch them on the ol' home cinema screen. Ratatouille was one of their best films, ever. I am really looking forward to the Your Friend the Rat feature, as I am a fan of Ward Kimball's production style of the 50's Disney Man In Space series and the wacky cartoon style presented therein that this new one emulates.

The two shorts are worth half the price as it is....'Your friend the rat' had us all on the floor ....LOA'sOROTF.

The quality is so amazing you forget that your watching an digital cartoon film...we have three pet rats so of course the film couldn't go wrong with us...but the rat movements were spot on.

Didn't see this in the theatre but got my Netflix rental yesterday (the day of release!). Stunning animation although I thought the story was a little too contrived.

The short "Lifted" had my wife and I in tears.

I grabbed the blu-Ray of Ratatouille and Cars as well. Checked out Ratatouille last night, the wife and kids loved it, I liked it a lot but enjoyed Surf's Up more. The animation of the various rats is pretty amazing, and the transfer is pretty much perfect. Look forward to watching Cars next.
