honda_stuntboy 11-18-2008, 03:44 PM Why did you bump up the time on this race? I see that normally you start at 5pm. It would allow people to race BFG in the morning and your track that night. That is my plan unless I have my dates mixed up. I may show up a little late. Terry.
gh_basher 11-19-2008, 12:44 PM Any discounts for kids under 15?
I don't see any Novice clases listed, is there usually enough people two groups (A & B heat).
Thanks,
Mark

I put it at 3:00 in case we end up having a larger crowed than normal.
We will play it by ear. We can run eight heats an hour. If it looks like we are going to have 8 heats of less we will start at 5:00pm. If its looking like we'll have more that that we can adjust accordingly.
We need to close when the mall does, 9:00pm

Mark,
Yes we have discounts available.
Our family discount would be:
$15.00 for you.
and five for each of the kids.
Also, because we race on Ozite carpet pined or studded tires will not be allowed. I recommend Pro-line Striker 2's or Foam tires.
We have been putting the novice drivers in the lower heats.
So yes we usually have an a,b,c and so on.

honda_stuntboy 11-24-2008, 12:51 PM I didn't know you had to be out by 9pm. That would be a tight schedule then. Duke's just jealous I can't pick on him for a couple of months! LOL:thumbsup:

Yep, it is tight. No problem thou, we can run eight heats an hour.
honda_stuntboy 11-29-2008, 08:43 AM Had a great time yesterday. Thanks. Been a while since I ran a truck on carpet, damn them things hook up. Will be back!!! The orange and black took third!!
hattrick2199 12-01-2008, 09:31 PM Hi Fred,
Will you be open for practice Tuesday night (Dec 2)? If yes, are the jumps still up?
Fred Knapp 12-02-2008, 07:59 AM Hi Fred,
Will you be open for practice Tuesday night (Dec 2)? If yes, are the jumps still up?
Yep, we'll be open. Not sure if the jumps were left out Saturday or not.
If not, we'll get them out.
Fred Knapp 12-03-2008, 08:54 AM Jason and Andy,
Thanks for running the Stadium program while I was away for the weekend.
Everyone that I have talked to said you guy's made it fun for everyone.
02CooperS 12-03-2008, 09:46 AM Not a problem Fred, glad I could help out. I know Jason would say the same thing, but his internet is down right now. I had the Slash out on the track and it was a blast. I may have even turned a few people on to them. I'll probably start showing up on a more regular basis after the holidays.
Andy
Fred Knapp 12-07-2008, 09:16 AM Nice turn out last night for Stadium Truck Racing.
Glad to see some faces that we haven't seen in quite some time.
Mr. Clean TQ'd both stock and Mod foam classes but wasn't able to get a win in either. Nice job however!!!
Stock foam by far is the biggest class.
Remember Tuesday evenings from 5:00pm until 9:00pm Stadium practice.
We had a great time. See everyone soon.
Losi-Don 12-07-2008, 12:26 PM I sure do miss running indoor on carpet. Had a blast years ago and I'm getting the itch to do it again. The winter blahs are setting in. Tried indoor offroad last year and it was terrible... cold building and the track changed from muddy to dry each round. That's just not for me. A nice warm building and awesome traction all the time sounds like some fun. So you say foams are the ticket for mod trucks? What tires? How many people run mod truck? This may work out well since my summers too are busy. Pack the stuff away in the summer and get it out in the winter!

Don,
Yep, carpet stadium racing is alot of fun. You'll like the jumps.
Glad to see you'll be comming out.
Most of the guys running foam are getting their foam from RC for Less and have Apl-Hed build them. We've been getting 5-6 Mod trucks.
WarpWind 12-07-2008, 05:55 PM I had the Slash out on the track and it was a blast. I may have even turned a few people on to them. I'll probably start showing up on a more regular basis after the holidays.

Yeah, speaking of which. We gotta get together sometime and work on setups for the truck. That's right, I got one coming. There really is no hope for me, is there... :woohoo:
Bill.
02CooperS 12-08-2008, 06:56 AM Haha, I guess not Bill. I was talking with Dudda and he thinks that all my truck needs is to add limiters in the shocks to bring the ride height down and to get rid of the huge amount of droop the shocks have. Other than that I have 50wt up front, 45wt in back and run the single hole pistons.
Fred Knapp 12-08-2008, 09:30 AM Andy, how did it handle the jumps?
02CooperS 12-08-2008, 09:50 AM It handled them great. It pretty much floated right over them, with the exception of the larger triangular jump. I think it needs a transition added to front b/c it looked like the foam trucks were bouncing off the face a bit too. I'm working on some smaller jump designs and a roller as well. So when I get a chance to come back out I may have a truck load of new jumps to donate as well!
Fred Knapp 12-08-2008, 10:05 AM OK. thanks.
Yeah, I have a piece of thin wood laying in the back I can attach to that jump to make it transition like all the rest. A roller, new jumps, even more fun, donate.
Everyone will appreciated that.
Thanks Andy, your the man!!!!!!!!!!!
jasburrito 12-08-2008, 08:10 PM Can I run My electric 1/8 buggy there? If so what days practice. thanks
Fred Knapp 12-08-2008, 09:00 PM Can I run My electric 1/8 buggy there? If so what days practice. thanks
If you can get foam tires or a rubber road tire. I can't allow any pined tires as they will tear the fibers from the carpet.
Practice is on tuesday evenings from 5:00pm until 9:00pm
Andrew Knapp 12-09-2008, 04:21 PM Tuesday night, thats tonight, stadium practice 5-9
WarpWind 12-09-2008, 04:21 PM Fred, do you know off the top of your head if Rider's has parts for the Slash? I got mine today and one of the rear hub carriers is broken. Traxxas is sending out replacements, but I'm not sure if they'll get here before this weekend. I'd like to get out and play with the new toy.
Oh, and I absolutely loved one of warning tags that come with the truck. It says, and I quote, "Avoid repetitive stopping, starting, and changing directions." Hmmmm, maybe that's what I've been doing wrong all these years.
Bill.

2rc4ever 12-20-2008, 05:13 PM Taz:
I'm still around and will do some stadium racing when I get a job. Right now I am on an austere budget getting ready for my pension to get cut. It is part of the bailout from D.C. One of the stipulations is to cut the wages, benefits, and pensions of UAW workers. Taxpayers are tired of bailing out losers. Time to pay the piper now. I'll eventaully find a job though, and get back into racing.
