I have recently obtained an older Novak Brushless System it's the 4300 with the SS ESC.

My questions are will a 17.5 motor work with the SS Speedo??
Will the SS Speedo work with LIPO's??

Just starting to get my feet wet in the brushless and want to make sure it's for me before i upgrade to a better Speedo.

The SS ESC is designed for the lower power motors, which the 17.5 surely fits into that catagory.

As far as the lipo is concerned, there is really nothing different in running a 2c Lipo like the ORION 3200 vs. running a standard 6 cell NiMh or NiCad battery.

(I say that, because I've heard several people who think you can only use the LIPO when running Brushless, and they work just fine with BRUSHED systems as well....it's just essentially TOO much voltage for most oval racing...just as 6 cell was with the hotter motors)

There is NO lipo cut off in the SS though so DO NOT run the car till it stops and you should be OK...

Novak makes a cutoff module you can connect to the ss so you don't mess up your lipo pack. About $25.
