Hi Everyone..

If I was to put my butt on the line and try and get together a show down in the mid south.. what kind of support could we expect? So I would ask a few questions on here first then maybe move it to other audiences to see...

VENDORS,

Who would consider a Midwest show.. I was thinking Dallas to start but Norman Oklahoma is a bit further North close to Kansas and Kentucy, Tenn, so has a larger draw potential.. So opinions on location and would you show up ...

Attendess.

Would you consider attending the show as a potential customer? I realize it would depend on how many vendors showed up before you plunked down your travel cash to come to a show.

Just bouncing ideas no plans, but I have done the Vegas NRIC confrence with much success the past two years with my Wife so I know how to get discounts lol...

Let me know...speak your mind..

Dave

Coach, it would be a much appreciated accomplishment. As many slot car enthusiasts as there are in Florida alone, it amazes me that that there isn't anything even remotely close, not even in a state adjoining an adjoining state! I know there are vendors that travel to the big northern shows from all over the country, and am suprised that no one has even attempted a more southern one. I mean, yes, Super Bowl Sunday is a tradition somewhere on Long Island. But the weather in January is much more pleasant further south, and a dual purpose vacation/business trip write off must have occurred to somebody. I also can't figure out why someone in Florida hasn't tried to start a small show already, with all that goes on there.

I would like to go to one of the big shows, would love to attend the Long Island, and noted the Philadelphia show, but I have to consider the 2400 mile round trip for a 4-6 hour show, and contend with the fact that all the horse trading happens the night before in hotel rooms between people I haven't met yet.....

Coach, Nashville would be nice, people would go to see the sights too. Atlanta is easy to get in and out of - an airline hub town would be a great idea, you can find Southwest flights that may be cheaper than driving. If the distance is 10 hours or less one way for me, I would go. Kansas is the geographic center of the country, which means it is equally far from everybody I guess lol. Isn't there already a show of sorts in St Louis?

Don't know any way to guarantee success with an inaugural show Coach, look for a small venue anxious to host an event and sell a few hotel rooms on a slow weekend. I would come, couldn't be any duller than our first family reunion a couple of years ago lol.
