Hi i couldnt find the current rules, but i had a question.. I notice some of the same names running both 13.5, and 10.5. Wasnt there a rule stating you couldnt run 13.5 if you were in a modified class?? I haven run BRL races yet, due to personal reasons, but i was just curious. I know other organizations had some sort of rule that prevented a single person from dominating all classes.. Is 13.5 still considered the stock class? l

This year theree are 2 mod classes, 10.5 pro mod and open pro mod. There is also the new 17.5 Sportsman class. The Mod guys can't run in the 17.5 sportsman class, but can run in the 13.5 class. I know there are some mixed feelings about the 10.5 guys running in the 13.5 class. I think it's like in NASCAR where the Cup guys run in the Busch Division. Looks like a Cup guy is going to win the Busch Championship this year. If you ask the 13.5 guys what they think, you might get some of the same answers that the Busch give.

I myself like getting to run against the Mod drivers to how I stand with them in my class. I have heard where some 13.5 guys don't like it because some of the 10.5 guys are sponsored drivers racing against us non-sponsored.

Thanks for the answer.. I saw the 17.5 was also supose to be the new sportsman clas, however the winners or top runners ive seen so far are guys who would be 10.5 top end guys.. I just remember the talk about making things great for everyone.. Last year seemed perfect i gues i dont understand the change.. Maybe entry fee's go up, like the other races.. i dunno..

It isnt about the compettition, cause i like to race the fast guys to.

i was at the race yesterday and watched the qualifying rounds and the normal top 13.5 drivers are right there in the hunt with the rest of the crowd. there was only a few tenths of a second between the fast drivers. in fact if you look at alot of last top 13.5 drivers there as heavily sponsored as any of the 10.5 drivers and they probably could run with in the 10.5 class as well as they do in the 13.5 class.

i havent had the opportunity to run brl yet but i dont care who i run against due to the fact that if your running same class same batts and 1 of the car options that are available today then your setup will be the difference and if they are faster then look at there setup and ask ?????????????? then apply what you can and try again and again and again. i know this will spark (they get better batteries)fuss but i havent saw any batteries that were that much better than what i can get.its just an excuse.
i have been playing with these cars in 1 form or another with a break or 2 in between since 1987 and have saw alot of upsets from the big dogs getting beat at events that they dropped down in

i bumped the rules to the top of the page if you read them you will see where it is said that after you run 5 races you will score 0 points if you run the rest of the races and it also says that you may run a different class and get points towards the end of the yr. championship in that class. so you could be the champ in more than one class in the same yr. that would make me believe there is no rule about running more than one class. if anyone needs more info on this i would suggest you contact sonny and he could clarify.

Chad is right, there are no 10.5 drivers in the 17.5 class.

Hobbyten- You are right, somebody could actually be a National Champion in multiple classes, but it could only be possible in 3 of the classes, not all 4.

10.5, 13.5, and Truck or 13.5, 17.5, and Truck and only if the person is over 40 years old.

I can't speak for anyone else in 13.5, but personally I like the top 10.5 guys racing 13.5 and I wish more of them would. The higher the competition level the more fun it is. I have different opinions about what 17.5 ought to be, but that is another subject.

Jamie, Corey and myself qualified within 1.5 seconds of each other and in reality it was probably closer then that. In the main I'm fairly sure all 3 of us could have finished on the same straightaway if not for my car getting demolished. In my book that is close racing.

Not sure which 13.5 you mean, or which top 10.5 guys, but I'm getting my truck ready............... Lookout Zubak

Is it fair for 10.5 cars to only get to run one class when everybody else could run up to three?
I believe I feel the same way Pat does, 13.5 is the new 19t, and 10.5 the new modified. Double entries in those classes are to expected, even if it means I'll take a hit in points this year. I'm cool with it, and its nice to measure myself against guys like Jamie and Corey. I had wanted to see a different personality to 17.5, but it hasn't evolved that way. I still feel the rule keeping 10.5 guys from running 17.5 helps maintain that classes integrity.

the XBR version motors have a non-sintered rotor and a small bearing style endbell. They can be upgraded with the endbell/rotor kit.

You can also just buy the Pro13.5 motor that already has the upgrades and the ribbed style can.
