So, on my way to work tonight I stopped by WallyWorld to check out the cars. I saw some new Jesse James cars. One was called the Outlaw 666. It was black with some nice tampo and looks like a dirt oval type car. It's in a blister pack with a full chrome cardboard insert. Then I noticed the exact same car but with no chrome insert and a small Jesse James logo insert about the size of a belt buckle. However the car itself was bare metal, no paint at all and no tampo. I'm assuming this is a variant and not a mistake. Is this rare? I don't know that much on what is collectable out there. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light for me. :)

I found mine this week also. Not my first chase but, first one of these. Packaging looks odd doesn't it?

Is this really considered a chase? It seems like everyone is finding them

Yeah, it looks "unfinished". Maybe to go with the unfinished look of the car?

There were 2 of them at a Walmart by my house. I don't think they are chase because there seems to be way too many of them on the pegs.

Yes there chase pieces that just came out. It was the same with the first 2, Sweet Pea and Gold Digger. They were out everywhere and then nothing.
I bought 2 each of those first 2 and left 3 times that many and now they've all dried up. Should be the same with this one, a bunch at first then nothing.

It may be a chase as far as how limited it is compared to the total production run but if it is produced in higher numbers than there are collectors, then it isn't much of a chase.
