Hey Guys, My favorite car and color scheme. It took a long time to find the right blue out here in Cali. Rustoleum Harbor Blue. Tamiya bright orange, and silver.
A few weeks ago Micyou's Gulf Carerra inspired me to try my hand at painting..... Thx Mic.
More to come. mj

Great looking custom!

When I was big into doing customs, I used to get paint from these guys online. Wide variety and always seemed to have that color I needed. At the time, I could get cans or paint to mix for the airbrush. just a thought. rr

Thanks for the thought RR. I don't do airbrush at this time (maybe some day) the problem was finding the color in spray cans. Plenty of bottles though.....Plus my favorite Tamiya is switching paint suppliers and having supply issues. I scoured the web but Home Depot came through. Oh well. mj

According to your meter boards that car is 100 meters long.

After all those questions about primer and paint and decals and clearcoat, I think you were pulling our legs. You've been doing this for years, haven't you?

That looks like a professional job. Nice work.

It just looks that way 'cause the car is so fast. ;)

Thanks for the comp DD. But these really are my first. I used to spray my Sting Rays (fourty years ago) and i did mask and spray trim and walls in New England houses in the eighties. But no leg pulling here. Thanks for cracking the meter board joke. I was tooo tired last night.

Dave, Are you insinuating that I would resort to pilfering this beautiful 908 or otherwise burgling it from Cls house? I would never do such a thing, eh! I may cause him to wipe it off every 20 seconds because I am drooling on it, or maybe cause him to use earplugs because of my pestering and whining for him to class one of my 908s up just like it, but I would never take another mans slot car! :D (I'll just pay you* to swipe it, Coach! LOL)

Seriously, CL, very nicely done!

I love the gulf paints too. funny, I don't have a single one! I am afraid that if I have one, it will never end. (I know, what's wrong with that?) I know my compulsive limits here. I am already on the road to having a slot car case filled with GREEN cars! LOL (It sits next to my case filled with PINK cars. LOL!)

Great job, CL! keep at them lil cars!
