NOT BAD?!?!?!?

That is the standard if you ask me. Wait until you run on it, if it has not deteriorated, it is GREAT.

This is NO SLAM to LPR or EASLEY at all. Apples and Oranges if you ask me.

Is someone thinking of revampin the track I ran there in 96 When Bob Hosch had the last Oval Masters great place to run and it was an awesome facility.

It is the same exit as the Mall of Georgia which is the same exit as the one you used to go to BoLink. Go thur all the build up cross the big bridge and start looking on the left. It use to be about were the road went back to 2 lanes. I have not been there in years it may be all 4 lane now. You can drive it from the Piedmont exit in about an hour and 30 minutes or less.
I loved that place when it was dirt.

I think you are thinking of the Whip. That one is long gone.

No I'm right after Bob Hosch sold The Whip Property he had a one time deal at The Sugar Bowl with Shelly unfourtunalty there was a big conterversy in the eunduro race wih some transponders not counting and that was the end of Bob Hosch's OvalMasters it was in October of 96. I also went to The Whip in 95 for The Ovalmasters there also.

2 hrs-2.5 hrsNO actually I live 1/2 mile from Sugar Bowl and it takes me 1hr 20min - 1.5 to get to Easley. Its a straight shot down I-85 south to the Mall of GA exit (HWY20). Go west on HWY20 about 6miles and its on your left in Suar Hill,GA. Like I said the grass needs to be cut and some painting done to the fence and wall around the track. Some of the boards on the wall needs to be replaced but its worth it if we can run this great track. I raced this track every Fri and Sat night for about 12yrs and it would be nice to race there again. Like Scott said Easley and LRP are also great tracks and will always make the drive to both tracks.

You are correct Bob did hold the last Oval Masters there after closing the Whip. I raced that race also and helped with the race.

It was dirt until about 1993 or so. I still have VHS tapes of me racing when it was dirt. I was about 12yrs old then. We would have about 40 drivers on tues nights, 70+ on Fri night and 120+ on Sat. nights. Start racing at 6-7pm and would finish up around 2-3am on Sun morning. I talked to Robert Hellard Fri and he said since we got such a reaction, Robert and I are going to start working on getting it ready.

This is GREAT news. I visited the Sugar Bowl back in 01. That day there were racing Offroad. MAN what a R/C complex OVAL OnRoad and OffRoad Dirt, you could watch racing on two diffrent tracks sitting in the same seat. COOL!!! I also talked to Shelly, SUPER nice guy. Hope you get many years of racing, Maybe I'll get down there to race oval. I have family that lives 30 mins. from the track. KRITER

yea!!! I remember the bowl when it was dirt, great track, loved it when it was concrete. I am ready to go back, only 9 hrs from the house each. But worth the ride once every couple months...

BTW, I have a hat from that Oval Masters, sitting on top of the tv in my bed room.
