Do you know if they're building a new track? my buddy scott is the club prez talked to him yesterday they want to build another track but as of this moment money and location are a problem they dont have anything on the board other than parking lot races they need to get the city involved to give them some help

Another one that might make a come back. From what I heard, new 1/4 scale racer, Charlie Ashton, just bought it. The Cornbelt Racing Series raced there one time in the early 90's.

Anyone ever raced or even heard of TBS superspeedway in Darlington S.C?
This track was HUGE. It had 135 foot straightaways banked 15 degrees and 33 degree turns. That was my first big track I ever ran on. I was to young to own 1/4 scales back then but I ran 1/10 and hoped to one day run 1/4 scales but it closed down a few years later. I tried to lease the track and property but they are apparently not interested. It now has 20 fott trees in the intire infield.

Yes I remember TBS super speedway.I wish it was still open that track was awesome.That was our tally back in the day.

I wish the people that own the land would let me lease it form them. The pavement is actually still in decent shape. I could take my bobcat to the pine trees in the infield.

I had Burtons on my page 1 post, did not notice it missed the master list.

Is LB still around? How about the track?

Yea LB is still suckin it up all over town and the track, though mostly 6 foot tall grass, is still there. Too bad because I really liked racing there. Bud is around but down to driving a school bus or crossing kids at a intersection. Not sure which but that's what I heard! No track! That property was sold to settle a debt of some type. Again what I was told!
Typical florida scene! They come, they go! There was also a track down south we raced at called Mills Pond that wasn't listed and the track in Wimauma. That track was big and fast! 1/8 mile! We hit nearly 70 mph down the straights! It was best if you didn't blink! LoL
And would you believe about 3 yrs ago, the drivers stand, if that's what you would call it, was still standing at the parking lot track in Ocala? It was all but down but still there!
We also raced in Barnesvill, Ga at a kart track that Bob Moore put together and also a parking lot track (qsac portable) that he also got together!
