I just wanted to pass on some information. As of November 1, Grant Chapman will be moving on from his role as the Marketing Director at the Matchbox brand. He will be moving over to a role in the games and puzzles division. At this time, he will be replaced by a gentleman called George Benz. George is the current Marketing Director for the Tyco R/C division, and has been helped with design and development by Felix Holst, who as you all know is the Design and Development Director for Matchbox. It just seemed obvious for George to amalgamate the Tyco and Matchbox marketing in the same way that Felix has been able to amalgamate the Tyco and Matchbox design over the last year.
I would like to welcome George over into the Matchbox area. I hope we will all make him feel very welcome.
David Tilley.

Thanks Dave for the update. Hope this means the quality will keep improving with MB and we don't notice a drop off.
Before anyone starts to think of anything, I am Darrin Dudding, I. Mr. Tilley is also registered here.

Darrin/David,
do you know of any sites, or info that show how Matchbox/hotwheels cars are made? I am very curious to see the process, even some photos of how the cars are designed, cast, painted, tampo'ed, and riveted together...
Thanks!
Tim

There is an old matchbox assemble video somewhere on the web. I just looked for it and couldn't find it. Maybe another person has the link.
