With lipo batteries making there way into oval racing I would like to hear some feed back on lipo chargers. What to look for and what models offer the best features for the money. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I'm using the ORION ADVANTAGE...it charges really well so far, but it's sometimes a pain to navagate for me. It took me forever to get use to my NOVAK Mil. Pro. so I figure it will take me a while to get use to these too...especially in switching back and forth between the LIPOs and the NIMH's.
I know several are using the FMA Direct Scorpion...and they seem to love it and I hear it's a really decent price. A few others are using the ProPeak Prodigy.

I have the Checkpoint charger and only charger my lipos on it. Works great. I also bought a used GFX awhile back and just recently sent it in for the lipo upgrade. I've charged a couple of nimh batteries already on it. Works as normal, as far as lipos I haven't had a chance to charge a pack yet. Hopefully, the weather here will cooperate on a race day so I can use the lipo feature on the GFX. I am sure the lipo feature will work but there is something I didn't like or just to lazy. When you first power up the GFX, you must select the type of battery type: nimh or lipo to charge. So if you select nimh first then you want to charge a lipo you will have to power up the GFX to select the lipo feature. Unlike the Ice/Checkpoint charger, you can go through the menu and select any profile. If you already have a GFX the upgrade should be well worth it.
The ICE charger, Yokomo charger or the Checkpoint charger (all maded by the same company)
All easy to use.
No need to discharge lipos.

I have two gfx/lipo chargers, the only difference is you can cycle your lipo pack just like a NIMH pack and Discharge up to 30 I think. It has a Max charge Secounds and Miah. charge. I also have the pulsar 3 and like it also for charging both are great. I have had my lipo 3200 Carbon pack for a couple of months and it still cycles just like a new one. I have cycled it once a month has not changed.
i have a FMA cellpro. if you would like to see it i will have it at robs the 4th. im very happy with it

Harry Busch is correct, the GFX Lipo options are great. It would be nice if CE would come out with a Lipo friendly Pit Bull. hint hint

The Scorpion charger is priced less then the Cell pro. The Scorpion is a 10 amp charger designed for 2 cell car packs like the Orion 3200.
