I have a 125 honda 4-wheeler 1986 model that problly has a billion hours on it. The carb was dirty and wouldn't run very good so I cleaned it out and it will start and run fine. The problem is that it smokes pretty bad I was wondering if I was to use some Restore or Lucas oil in it if maybe just mabye it would hold on for a while longer. If so do I use only the treatment oil or should i mix it with a good synthetic oil. I havent yet looked how much oil is used in the crankcase, it couldnt be much over 1-1.5 qts.
I know that a rebuild kit would be better and have better results, but I dont want to go that road just yet.

if its black, that means it is running rich, might want to get the carb kit for it, something still might not be right

What type of smoking?
White - Running too rich
Solution - Lean out the mixture, should be fine. Keep an eye on the smoke color as you turn it...
Black when accelerating - An tiny bit too rich. Lean it out an bit more
Blue/Purple - Burning oil. Make sure you didn't overfill. If still smokes, get new rigs and get ready for an rebuild.
