Race Notes:
-Awesome turnout today....just shy of 50 entries for the 3rd week of racing, absolutely awesome. Thanks to everyone for coming out, especially the group from up north and out west who make the long haul on a WEEKLY basis, Calvin and I appreciate it.
-Didn't think we'd be pushing maximum capacity so early in the season. We will begin remodeling the new pit room this week and hope to have some new benches constructed by weeks end.
-Track was super fast today. It took 66 laps to make the A in BB EDM, and I believe all classes had new fast times put down.
-Thanks to Chico for letting me wheel his latemodel in the A Main. These cars do not run side-dams, and Chico's car was easily one of the easiest to drive cars I've driven in a long time.
-Speaking of Chico, his GetBack RC Dirt-Oval Chassis' were the base for 11 of the 16 entries in BB EDM, as well as 5 of the Top 6, the top 2 in Small Block EDM, and all cars in the Empire State Latemodel class.
-Good to see "Rocket Foot" Fred Rhinehardt and Eric Beadle return to the dungeon for some close racing action.
-Dylan Watier once again made the long haul from the "far west", and absolutely laid the hammer down in qualifying. His BB EDM TQ effort of 67 laps is the new mark for this season. He also smoked the field in the Empire State Latemodel class.
-Geo's Mini Slider is by far the fastest in the class.....I saw it wheelie down the front stretch on several occasions. Some bad luck with traffic and a nasty over-steer cost him a shot at the win this week.
-I beat Solly. We are tied 1-1 going into next week.
-Shannon Pitcher returned to the RC Racing this world this weekend, and delivered the Big Win when lap traffic collected previous leader Jason Blum.
-Nice to see Terry Schmitt back at the track for some club racing. Hoping to see him race on a regular basis.
-Again, thanks to everyone for coming out!
