I am no dirt guy.

I got to see this track this weekend and it is GREAT. They ran a pan car on it after we were done with the GASCAR race and it went around it great, the track is like glass. Smooth that is with alot of grip.

I think they stayed until midnight playing around. They even put one of Brackett's .12NP cars on it and had a blast. If Dirt Oval is your deal, this place is worth the trip!

The walls are constructed of genuine synthetic simulated imitation wood fence rails.

 One new Picture has been added. So what, You say? It's the picture of the completed track. Sod is in the In-field; dirt is on the track; parking is accessable (around the back of the track) AND cars have been round & round.

:hat: 2007 NOV 17th is the official date for opening it up for practice (after the Paved Oval program)(about 5 or 6:00 PM) and we're looking to have a great time. Come by and see for yourselves.

What class would my TC 4wd electric HD Assassin run in? The website shows 4wd latemodel but it's not listed above.

4WD Latemodel:This class will under go some changes but will hold most of the same rules, as is. 4WD TC type cars.

I have a few questions:

Motor: NOVAK 13.5
Lipo pack: ?
Off-set chassis allowed: ?
Bodies: ?
Air Dahms: ?
Grooved Foams: ?

Is the HD Assassin legal in this class (4wd direct drive 1:1 final, off-set chassis, direct steering, etc)?

OK guys; make it easy for an old guy! I have a TC3, Lipo’s and motors, can I make it dirt competitive and if I can, what else do I need?

JONW1020

Lin, all you need is a Late model body and come play in the dirt.

Is there anyone there racing TC's or are they all dedicated dirt cars? For the few times that I will get to race dirt, I can't justify getting a "real" dirt car.

For the few times that I will get to race dirt, I can't justify getting a "real" dirt car.the 4wd lipos were the biggest class they had today, altough we started running the 2nd round of heats and got rained out, if i were starting out i would suggest a electric 4wd car seems to be the easyest to drive :woohoo: yes u need a latemodel body and some foam tires, the track dosent have very long straghts so motor do not play into the raceing as much as car setup

What Late Model bodies are you guys running?

signman501
12-01-2007, 11:18 PM
McLin any of the tc type cars work well (TC3-4, HPI). McAllister makes some of the nicest late model bodies out there. The 4wd cars are great to drive. There are no real dirt dedicated 4wd cars out there today, like the dominator, as 2wd has pretty much taken over.

Thanks man, I am already having fun getting the stuff together to build this car. Just can't find anyone that has the 200mm conversion kit.......but I'm still looking.

Do you know if any of the Customworks bodies fit the TC3?

bush87
12-02-2007, 11:12 PM
Call the hobby Shop they have some, 7 or 8 tc3's today and there getting faster 2nd week 1 1/2 laps faster today. They have some Custom works, Factory works and Mccalister Bodies for the 1/18,1/10 and 1/8 molded Bodies.

We ARE Racing next weekend (2007 Dec. 29 & 30) but rain looks like it wants to interfear so the plan is to Use Tuesday as the rain date (back-up). If we can race on the regular days then we will use Tuesday as a Practice day.

The whole idea is to git to play wif all our new toys.

I would also like to say that the Carolina RC Complex is here for the racers and bashers alike AND extend a Sincere "Thank You" to all RC'ers that come and support the Complex and Hobby Connection.

Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year To All and to all a Good Race.
POD

and to Scott, No we do not have any pix of the racers or races as of yet. BUT When the program gits going, I will git some and post them for those that cannot attend.

Great turn-out today for the Paved-Oval program BUT the forcast is skeering us for tomarrow and therefore we Are CANCELing the race for the Bull-Ring on Sunday Dec. 30th. The plan was/is to run this race on New Years Day 2008 Jan 01st as the "rain-date" but now seems we will be using it as the race Day, either way.

Our apologees to any that may have made plans for Sunday but it seems the weather wins again. See you all next year, POD

Schedule Change ! ! ! We are running the Bull-Ring on Saturday, Jan 12th and the Carolina Speedway on Sunday, Jan 13th. A chance for those that cannot make it on the regular schedule, Now's your chance to do some racing on the track of your choice, for a change.
This is just for the next weekend and should not B misunderstood to B anything but a special weekend.
So if you just couldn't make it on the day we usually run, please make an effort to come on out and try out the racing at Carolina RC Complex, on the track that say you can't race on because of our schedule. This weekend there is no excuse, "Brang it!"
