NovakTwo 10-18-2007, 11:54 AM Has Anyone Got Theres Yet Just Wondering If There Getting Them Out Yet Novak has not started shipping the 21.5 motor . Toxic2 10-28-2007, 08:54 PM So what is the deal? We were told they would ship the beginning of the month, then the end of the month. When is the real ship date, if it is known. swtour 10-28-2007, 09:06 PM ...shipping has begun from what I am hearing...as of 10/31 rcgen 10-30-2007, 07:06 PM Received an email stating its being shipped. Looks like the motors are on its way out.....21.5 & lipo can't get any better :woohoo: 98Ron 10-31-2007, 08:24 AM I also got an email that my pre order shipped, should be delivered in 7 to 10 day. Ralf 10-31-2007, 11:13 AM Same here.... BIGKAHUNA 10-31-2007, 08:38 PM 21.5 shipped today. a123 batteries are the best li-pos! will not explode or burn. the way of the future. www.a123racing.com swtour 11-01-2007, 11:03 AM I'm hearing some have started arriving already today. (I'll stay with the ORION 3200 LIPO...) 98Ron 11-01-2007, 11:12 AM Joe, I agree, I like the hard case. If you have a shunt bad stuff could happen with the soft coverings!!! gezer2u 11-02-2007, 07:18 PM Not to hijack the thread, BUT, the problem is they are BIG and there only one battery (4600 mah) and it costs about 50% more then the 3200 Orion! All this with less voltage. :) BIGKAHUNA 11-06-2007, 07:55 AM not big!!!!! 2 cell a123 is like a 4 cell pack size in length but half as wide. less voltage yes 6.6 to keep closer to ni-mh 4 cells, but alot more amps than anything. thats why generous motors is using them to run there new hi-bred autos. lots of power and amps. think about it. they (((( do not )))) burn!!!!! or explode. i keep teaching you. read more get into the light. oh and the plastic will crack and break. guess what is inside that broken sharp edged plastic case. you know now. your turn. swtour 11-07-2007, 02:25 AM I was thinking about buying 5 or 6 Thousand A123 cells to make a battery to put in my Geo Metro and do an electric car. I saw a electric sportscar that is supposed to be running 7000 cells, it runs 200 miles on a charge and scoots. I'm not sure how many cells they use to create a power bank, but I'm thinking if you do like 60 groups of 100 Parallel and series them...it would be pretty stout. BIGKAHUNA 11-07-2007, 01:48 PM They Run 30o Volts In Cars. The Battery Box Is About 18 X 24 Inches. Believe This Or Not You Can Get A Golf Cart Motor That Has 20 Hp @ 48 Volts And 20hp Electric Dc Motor Is Like A 40 Hp Or More Gas X The 300 Volts Will Scream. The Car Your Talking About Has One Motor For Each Wheel @ 600 Volts And The Battery Is Like 3 Foot X 4 Foot Zero To 60 In 2.8 Seconds And 230 Mph In Like 20 Seconds. They Say It Is Like A Fueler Drag Car. The Fastest Car In The World. They Are Putting Together A Electric Car For Indy I Think They Want To Run It This Year. If It Goes 500 Miles. They Are Going To Change The Battery Instead Of Refueling, Quit Change Batteries, They Say They Want To Go Longer Without Refueling, That Makes Winner.... They Can Make The Center Of Gravity Half That Of Gas Engined Car. Also Said It Would Have Alot Of Batteries Just To Make The Weight. Gas Weights 8# To The Gallon X 10 Thats 80 Pounds So I Think 2 Battery Packs One For Each Guy They Could Change Batteries As Fast A S Fueling. We Will See.... swtour 11-07-2007, 01:57 PM ...with the price of Gasoline hitting 3.43 per gallon here yesterday - the thought of a LIPO powered GEO to do my intown running around would be cool. I would like to know what the fewest number of cells could be gotten away with to drive 2 hours of "in town" style driving per day... Not that I have the budget to do it right now...but it would be cool... gezer2u 11-07-2007, 06:10 PM Hey Joe, Check out this website (http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums/). I was mistaken about the size, I was thinking Emoli cells. A123 cells are really Lithium iron phosphate Batteries. Lithium phosphate batteries are not all that new. Lithium phosphate batteries are inherently safe from thearmal runaway. BIGKAHUNA 11-08-2007, 09:38 PM just to let you know. the 21.5 is great. i ran besdie a 4 cell 27 turn stock motor it was just a little faster. i think with some gear changes it will be about a 1/2 second faster at our track versus stock...i run for 1/2 hr and it never slowed down. started at 8.4 ended at 8.0 in 30 min. i am taking it sunday and see how long it will really run until li-po cut out works. swtour 11-08-2007, 09:53 PM Big, That's the results we got when we tested..I think that is going to make an awesome class...and you can run LONG TIME Toxic2 11-08-2007, 10:01 PM Hey Butch, what did you end up rolling out at? Rickity Racer 11-09-2007, 10:55 AM Got my 21.5 and I think this will be a good class for us old timers. Thanks JB for your work in getting this motor for us. and, SWtour for your help too. Guess the old lady did something right before she left. :( BIGKAHUNA 11-10-2007, 04:15 PM Rollout Like 3.0 At Freddies. Good Place To Start Anyway. I Am Still Missing With Rollout Myself. Will See More Sunday. I Have A 116 And 50 And I Just Picked Up A 52 And 54 And I May Have To Reduce The Spur Size. It Has All The Torgue You Want. I Just Got The Body Complete. Awsome, Stickers Every Where. Oh I May Start To Make Stickers For 1/10 And 1/4 Scale. I Can Make Them Just Have To Have The Time. I Have To Go Do Hunny Do Stuff Right Now.
