Novak has not started shipping the 21.5 motor . I will post here when shipping begins.

Odered mine today on Shoptron, can't wait, my Lipo's are warming up now.

When will they start shipping? I preordered and still waiting!
Are they still waiting for stickers? I’m going to run a heat sink any way so the sticker ring will be coming off

I preordered also. Lipo packs ready, chargers ready only need the motor.

..maybe you guys will get lucky and they will show before the weekend...(That would be nice..you guys going upto STOCKTON could give them a run on the RUG)

i think i ordered mine on oct 5 probaly would have waited if i knew it was going to be a month before i would get it!

So what is the deal? We were told they would ship the beginning of the month, then the end of the month. When is the real ship date, if it is known.

Joe, I agree, I like the hard case. If you have a shunt bad stuff could happen with the soft coverings!!!

Not to hijack the thread, BUT, the problem is they are BIG and there only one battery (4600 mah) and it costs about 50% more then the 3200 Orion! All this with less voltage. :)

not big!!!!! 2 cell a123 is like a 4 cell pack size in length but half as wide.
less voltage yes 6.6 to keep closer to ni-mh 4 cells, but alot more amps than anything.

thats why generous motors is using them to run there new hi-bred autos. lots of power and amps. think about it.

I was thinking about buying 5 or 6 Thousand A123 cells to make a battery to put in my Geo Metro and do an electric car.

I saw a electric sportscar that is supposed to be running 7000 cells, it runs 200 miles on a charge and scoots.

I'm not sure how many cells they use to create a power bank, but I'm thinking if you do like 60 groups of 100 Parallel and series them...it would be pretty stout.

They Are Going To Change The Battery Instead Of Refueling, Quit Change Batteries, They Say They Want To Go Longer Without Refueling, That Makes Winner.... They Can Make The Center Of Gravity Half That Of Gas Engined Car. Also Said It Would Have Alot Of Batteries Just To Make The Weight. Gas Weights 8# To The Gallon X 10 Thats 80 Pounds So I Think 2 Battery Packs One For Each Guy They Could Change Batteries As Fast A S Fueling. We Will See....

...with the price of Gasoline hitting 3.43 per gallon here yesterday - the thought of a LIPO powered GEO to do my intown running around would be cool.

I would like to know what the fewest number of cells could be gotten away with to drive 2 hours of "in town" style driving per day...

Not that I have the budget to do it right now...but it would be cool...

I was mistaken about the size, I was thinking Emoli cells. A123 cells are really Lithium iron phosphate Batteries. Lithium phosphate batteries are not all that new. Lithium phosphate batteries are inherently safe from thearmal runaway.

just to let you know. the 21.5 is great. i ran besdie a 4 cell 27 turn stock motor it was just a little faster. i think with some gear changes it will be about a 1/2 second faster at our track versus stock...i run for 1/2 hr and it never slowed down. started at 8.4 ended at 8.0 in 30 min.

i am taking it sunday and see how long it will really run until li-po cut out works.
