View Full Version : Under the Hood Club
astroking2 10-15-2007, 07:51 PM Was looking at the back of my Barrett Jackson Series 3 W31 Green Machine blister cases and it says:
"Coming November 2007! Under the Hood Collector's Club www.underthehoodclub.com"
Does anybody know what this is/going to be?
My guess is an offical GreenLight collector's club.
If so, cool! :woohoo:
stangcollector 10-15-2007, 08:10 PM anyone know anything about this??? Sounds VERY interesting!!!
96gsfan 10-15-2007, 08:27 PM Check out the Greenlight Garage websight. I think I saw a little more info over there on it.
Inciteful 10-15-2007, 08:58 PM http://www.underthehoodclub.com
According to my info, the site will be opening in November. Similar to the previous JL Club (pay $24.95 I think for a car first 1,000 members). Club members will also have communications with GL (forums and what not) themselves and help to further their business along by influencing what diecast to choose. There's an ad for it in the current Winter 2007 issue of Diecast X magazine. Car shown is a GREEN '70 AAR Cuda. Not sure if it will be the Club car or not.
Bob Justbob 10-18-2007, 09:58 PM Thanks for the reminder. Just signed up. This ought to be interesting.

GLH Turbo 10-18-2007, 11:19 PM They started taking membership applications on Oct. 16th. when the www.underthehoodclub.com went live. The scheduled date for the "grand opening" of the club site is Nov. 15th.

Given that JL made their club free to join, isn't $30 (with s&h) a little pricey?
glhshelby 10-22-2007, 11:22 PM just signed up to get the cuda and the club is the free bonus for me.
rlyoung1 10-23-2007, 08:52 PM I wish the club car was different. Not interested in that car so I guess I'll save my money for now.
GREENLIGHT 10-24-2007, 11:11 AM Hey Everyone -
It is great to read about the enthusiasm for the club. Yes, the club buy-in car will be the '70 AAR 'Cuda as pictured on the site. There will also be a variety of other cars that will be available to purchase once the site launches. The production run on these cars will be limited to 1,000 units too and will only be available to members so you don't want to miss out on the opportunity to purchase these limited editions.
Another reason we are really excited about the club is that it will give us the opportunity to interact with you the collector on a regular basis. We can't say enough how valuable your feedback and opinions are to us. You'll be the first to see some of the new projects we are working, you'll have the chance to vote on what cars you want in upcoming series and you will have the chance to win rare first shots, pre-pro samples and GREEN MACHINES, GREEN MACHINES, GREEN MACHINES.
I'll be checking back so if you guys have any more questions about the club, feel free to ask and I will try to answer you as best as I can.
Thanks to all of you that have joined thus far. We really have some great things scheduled for late 2007 and 2008. If you haven't joined...what are you waiting on. :) Go to www.underthehoodclub.com to sign-up!

rlyoung1 10-24-2007, 08:31 PM Is the $24.95 for a lifetime membership or is it an annual membership? I can't find anywhere that it says.
Drdealone 10-24-2007, 10:10 PM $ 24.95 is for your annual mebership. You will need to re-up after the first year is up but will also get a new car.
